If you use an oversized suit, you kinda need the stilts. Or if you don't want to use stilts you can still make him seem disproportional by having a jacket with longer arms and pants that fit you. Then you can use a couple blocks of wood or anything that just pokes out of the end of the sleeve. Then put some black stocking or cloth over it and it will look like he just has long appendages and no hands. That's how it looks like Marble Hornets did their slendy, as theirs doesn't look like it has hands and its arms seem to go down to its knees.

Actually right now I'm working on a slendy project and I wanted to do something original and I don't want to give anything away on the story. I had noticed that a lot of people do either a blog or a video series, but I'm gonna try to do both. The blog will just be a sneaky way of giving the backstory to the videos, which aren't going to start until after the blog.

The one major benefit I can think of for a script is that you might need the actors to react a certain away, for plot purposes.

I was originally just going to have a friend of mine in a suit with his hair pulled back and his head covered (along with a hat), as he is six foot four, but I may use drywall stilts just to get some more tallness (although stilts are quite pricey).
Quick question: what kind of hat would be best for slendy? I was thinking a fedora, but I dunno.

A hat for Slendy? Hm.

Anything that compliments his outfit and still has a dark color, I guess.

Baseball cap. Bill turned to the side.

But, seriously, I'd say one of those flat-top Gatsby hats.

One perspective trick Im useing for my series is having slender scenes being filmed by my 10 year old brother, making our slendy seem much much taller, without the need for 100 dollar stilts.

White Spandex Suit
Nice Tuxedo
Red Tie

That is kind of my itinerary with Slender Man. I can't really explain the Red Tie though. Must be because I have seen him so many times in EMH with a Red Tie.

I really hope you mean EMH because MH uses a black tie

That's exactly what I'm doing for my series. Except the blog just acts a prologue of the world and some of the antagonist, not the main characters on my series, which is in pre-production stuff. I already created the blog.

Actually, a tall hat giving this weird gentlemen look would be interesting. Something like Roger Bacon from shadow hearts, but without a face.

This, but the simple fact of being able to see the thing you're reacting to shouldn't be underestimated. Stealing an example from Harry Plinkett here, but check out the start of this clip:

See how bad that looks? I dunno, maybe someone said "nah, it's much cooler if you don't react, so it's like you're so confident and badass that you don't even care what's happening in front of you". But that person is a doofus.

re: a Slendy Hat, I've had thought this was a no-brainer:

EDIT: and if anyone wants to do a fake History Channel documentary about whether the Slender Man was present at the first Thanksgiving, that's fine by me, long as I get my 10%.

Thinking about it, if you need a small height boost and don't want to lose mobility, you could do worse than wearing a pair of stackheels and binding them up with black duct tape. There are a lot of low-tech tricks that won't convince anyone you're 9 feet tall, but will certainly add up to a tall gangly appearance.

There's also the older-than-dirt Hollywood trick of making any point of reference around Slendy smaller. So if you have a choice, cast someone short as the protagonist!

I'm not sure what that has to do with anything, since he hasn't hinted at doing CGI.

Also, no, I do not see how bad that looks. I guess Obi Wan could have taken a defensive stance & staggered back or something, but there is such a thing as overacting.
