Multi;

As I'vesaid before, I appreciate you efforts in compiling, and keeping up this "monster."

There is one thing that I've tried finding, and it's relevance to the game may be more important as things go on.

On the HLM site there are 5 posted comments--I remember the first initials of the commenters by thinking about the acronyms they form, DREAM or ARMED, but there was one other that was up briefly and it referred to super 8 (or eight) in the post. I though to myself at the time, if this is IG, why would they even allow something so blatant to be posted. I can't find that comment, and was curious if among your info you had it. I can't recall the poster, but for some reason, "Gordon" comes to mind, though I've used the search function and can't find it.

Any help you can offer?

I believe the consensus is that it was a PM error*/change of heart. It was a time of red pens, Ras-cats and three stooges Wink

*One of several e.g. Original RP site etc.,... Or there all deliberate and teasers..

Hey,

Thanks a lot! Although we have a search engine here, it's not always the most easy to use, and I went through countless pages before asking your assistance.

train
impossible

I know this is a buzzkill and I'll never post anything on this site again but I have to say this. I really enjoyed Super 8 but I used to be a railroad engineer. Not that it really matters but I can tell you from experience that if a train, had what it looked like from the wreckage, about 20-25 loads of shipping material, hit a pickup truck going at a speed I estimated to be about 40 miles an hour, the train would have knocked the truck clear off the track and not slowed a tick. There couldn't possibly be a derailment. It would be like a Hummer hitting one of you guys on your BTX. Nothing would be left and you certainly wouldn't survive the impact. I once hit a semi. I had 97 loads going about 27 mph and not only did I not derail, I barely felt the impact. We saw it coming and just ran outside the cab to the back of the engine. It took a quarter mile to stop in emergency breaking. At 150 tons, a GP-38 by itself, the standard industrial shipping engine, going 40 mph could knock a pickup off a track and keep on going without flinching. Who cares! It's fun to get lost in a movie. It's why we watch them. And I really like all the posts investigating every nuance of the movie. Keep it up!
