Could be Sente self-censoring until he trusts us more? Perhaps not very likely, but always a thought.

Doing a google image search i came across a picture of London that reminded me of the one in IndexB.
I played around with it a bit (brightness/contrast and flipped it) and came up with the following, which make me fairly certain that it is indeed London.

GREAT FIND! So it is confirmed that this London after all. Looks like the picture on google my be from the opposite angle. Any chance of locating the building.

The second and third pictures are the same one...The 3rd is the original(and that is def.London), which i played around with and the result was the 2nd;
the 1st is the pic from indexB.
I'm new here, so i kinda screwed up the order in which they're supposed to appear..sorry!

its not the same....the perspectives are all wrong imo....
On the perplex original that you've put the red around the tall building is about half a mile or so behind the block of buildings also in the red...on the ones you've found and played with they are on the same axis if anything it looks as though the tall building in your copies is further in front of the other ones.
It also lacks the height of the other buildings entirely. they should at least be able to be seen shouldnt they?

also, sorry to debunk...
the skylines in no way match up, i've composited the two images on top of each other, the background is the red box you marked of the match, and the front (the grayed area) is the picture u supplied...
Now, matching the tower to the tower, and look....theres a tower missing to the left of the picture, and also a few levels there...

Oh dear...wrong again!
i noticed the differences between the pics, i just thought that maybe since the distance between the two shots is different, and the first one was taken circa 1998 the landscape could've changed slightly...Anyway! back to lurking for me i''spose!

Don't forget that this is a difference perspective too. things are not going to match up perfectly. actuyally, I think that this if from opposite perspectives.
On second look, I don't know... it doesn't quite work... I thought so at first but there are too many discrepancies.

if it was slightly off then maybe it could be right, but on that pic we're missing a entire building....so i dont think so.

I agree. I think it probably will be London, especially as the building in the foreground looks like the one I work in (it isn't, the design is similar though), but the photo comparison is not conclusive; vastly different angles and as Salkunh said, the two buildings in the red box are quite far apart, by miles I would say. Distances to tower blocks can be very deceiving.
It would be nice to know if it's London, but I think it will become clear in time, unless anyone comes up with any comparable picture in the meantime. So don't stop trying!

Shoulder? I agree that the skyline looks like London, but that's based purely on the shape of the tower blocks and the age/style of the nearest building. I can't be any more precise.
More importantly, mafalda_quino's brightened version has clarified the bottom right-hand corner of the picture. Could that be someone's shoulder? Are we in fact dealing with just one corner of a snapshot?

I mentioned this in another thread but I'm fairly sure that the picture is of london's south-east looking east, from somewhere in the battersea dog's home / Elephant & castle area.
I think the point of the image is, that the architecture combined with the £50 note points to the cube being in London.
Nohting deeper than that I'm afraid

I don't think they match up either.
If you brighten up the picture on the perplex site, there is too much detail in the buildings for it just to be a digitally created image. It must be a photograph of a real city. And as the project is based in London, they probably just stuck their camera out the window and photographed the view of London? Just an idea.
The building in the bottom right of the photo seems to be one of those big buildings with columns at the front. There are loads of these in London but if you look closer it seems to have a big glass arch on top, running the length of the building. Kind of like the arches you get on shopping centres in the UK (although I don't think it's a shopping centre).
Could it be a railway station or something? Can anyone else think of a building in London that looks like this? Or any other building in a major city?
I've attached the close up...

pink elephants I definitely think its London. However i'm quite sure its not Elephant (i'm writing this around the corner in Southwark as we speak for floor 5 of a block and it doesnt look like anything here - there are way more council blocks in the area but they are not tall enough to get that kind of height on the view).
For me it really looks like the area around the Westway - there are some large twin blocks of council cuildings off Latimer Road that you see on the way to Shepherds Bush that have that look. Very tall blocks there too.
