Slenderman doesn't have any minions, as he has the ability to teleport.

oh its not the pms fault Smile im betting on either slendy or observer, see its got a very tribe twelve feel to it. Also with tribe twelve picking up again recently it wouldnt be too far off.. tho they did say in the video this is not some f## ing slendy rip off or marble hornets rip off.. maybe they were telling us that it really wasnt a rip off lol

Don't rule anything out, but if that's how this iteration of him is going to be played, then it narrows the stranger's motives down.

Of note, in terms of Deimos in mythology, is the fact that Deimos is the son of Ares (god of war) and twin brother to Phobos (fear). Basically, Deimos in most stories (never directly featured) is the dread brought about by impending war. He precedes war...pointing more towards this stranger warning the band about something.
