While I'm not at this point, I am gaining disappointment with each new entry added, mainly because my expectations are so high. I still believe that they have been building the plot up to a pinnacle of which will soon be reached and, hopefully, the series will regain some much needed active action and vitality.

Honestly, the problem isn't that the series is moving slow, it's just releasing slow causing you to think it's slow. If you watch the series back to back it's fine, weekly/bi-weekly it was fine. However, 3+ weeks an entry makes it seem like the story is not moving forward at all. If you look at the entries time wise, we've only had an hour worth of video for season 3.

20 minutes was an intro (meeting tim getting tapes) another 20 was background (watching said tapes), whatever jay and tim going to the annex was, game changing twist (Tim confronting jay), 10 suspense and scare (traveling into the tunnel), and then 20 minutes of climax building (Tim going masky/jay finding him) That's a pretty legit pacing if you look at it as a whole. Knowing marble hornets they'll probably drag out the climax building for a long time, which isn't necessarily bad, then there will be a huge climax where everything gets resolved.

All my RAEG however to the excessive release times messing it all up.

disagree. i recently watched all of season 3 so far back to back and it was pretty poorly paced. they really wanted to nail the whole "tim was the initial victim" idea in our heads, but it took up too much time to do so. everything just feels really repetitive and one-dimensional

With that logic, how do you like any movies or shows? I can't think of a single series or movie that is less repetitive then that... except for one shooters (family guy, mlp, csi) but I don't count them, since they're repetitive in an entirely different way.

i don't know if that's trolling or not

i'm watching sons of anarchy now and it's far less repetitive because it switches things up and keeps me wanting more badly, just one example.

I understand what KTSteve is saying. TV shows have a handful of "major" plot points they always try to drive home - in MH, one of those is that Tim is a key player now, or whatever.

agreeing with all the people who quit checking for any updates, because they cant even give us something minor like a tweet for weeks..
i really liked mh for its story and especially that they kept it going without letting us wait like idiots for weeks like other slenderseries do.
But now the disappointment is even bigger, since they suddenly seem like they couldnt care less about giving us at least a twitter update, not even something like "entry yx will be uploaded by xy".
and since all other slenderseries totally suck now, marble hornets letting me down is really something to raaaaaaaaaage about.

Try Breaking Bad. GREAT series with lots of concurrent plots meshing with each other. Very complex in a good way.

Hmm...I don't know. For me, the ending of 'entry/Entry 61' was undercut a bit by that tweet and the photos and I really hope we don't get any tweets before entry #63 is uploaded . But heh, I like waiting Smile

As for the whole Scooby Doo thing....I'm really enjoying the mystery concerning Hoody, even if we haven't really been given any substinal clues to go on yet, but I expect that'll be remedied over the next couple of entries and am more then content to enjoy the long build up to his reveal . I think using Slendy sparingly is to good effect and creates a nice tension that he could be ANYWHERE to attack our guys. Anyway, creepy masks, messed up videos, and a guy who could revert back into his dangerous alter ego at any momment while Jay is alone in the woods really does serve up the horror for me, so I have no real compliants there (and given that Masky seems to have the pills in season one, doesn't mean that we're all that effective...or Tim 'chose' to be Masky some of the time)

For me, the pacing of season three has been perfect, unlike season two, which although still brilliant, was more tease then answers and left me more then a little unsatisfied. I'm liking the slow reveal of everything this season ) and am in no hurry for a quicker reveal.

i've watched over 30 shows in their entirety, most off the top 250 from imdb. ive been watching BB since day one

i don't need reccommendations, i was just countering his point of "you don't know what quality is"

Definetely one of the best shows I've seen on TV in a very long time. Pravado should definetely give it a try.

Marble Hornets needs to identify what the "Operator" is. I don't give a fuck if they classify him a ghost, superhero, alien, etc. I'm tired of of the "Oh well that is what makes him scary" bullshit by the internet nerd kingdom.

They promised a full ending, and we better fucking get it. I'm especially tired of the 1 step forward, 3 step back approach here. This is getting just as bad as everymanhybrid and Twelve Tribe. At least MH isn't going the full ARG storyline like the above mentioned series.

This season has just constantly felt like it's been building up to a big event in the next few Entries. And then nothing god damn happened. They keep building and gradually giving us morsels of significance to sustain ourselves.

I love Marble Hornets so damn much. But I'd be lying if I said I'm really enthralled with the current plot. The wait time, lack of tweets, and relative lack of OOG transparency makes it that much more frustrating.

What the hell are you talking about? They specifically stated that they were going to (heavily paraphrased) not explain everything. From the way they stated it, I feel that it's heavily implied that most of these unexplained elements of MH will be the supernatural occurrences, and yes, most definitely The Operator. In fact, unless I'm terribly mistaken, I assume that most people would agree that this would detract a lot from what makes The Operator a mysterious entity of evil, something which adds, well and easily argued, on to the psychological horror, no matter how sickened you are of this argument.
