I'm afraid I don't know enough about editing sound files to check for morse code, but I can try.
EDIT: With my current convo with LISA she is notifying maintenence.

Even if I had a PC, I wouldn't know anything about it either. I don't even know if it's possible. Maybe we could toss it out to the wider Unfiction world and ask for someone to do a full analysis?
Edit: sounds like maintanence is about to poke a cornered badger. They'll find something and it'll react. Here comes the storm...

No email, nada , & headed to Sleepyville. Still hoping I can be "put to good use" unless that's some sort of Twilight Zone-To Serve Man-thingy. fwiw: neither heard nor saw anything cluey in the atlas.wav 'tho while slowing it down LISA sounded tipsy so that was a giggle. EDIT: Rejection email just came with the wav. G'Nite all.

Listening with headphones on and there sure is a lot going on, including a strange male voice gurgling something at about :07 along with LISA saying "information".

I think I heard it more about :10. I have the audio slowed down right now -- I need to distinguish LISA's voice from the potential male voice.
EDIT: The only thing I can really make out this is definitely out of place is 3 short beeps at :22 thru :23.55. I believe that is "S" in Morse code, if it matters.

Has anyone emailed LISA recently and is it/she still responding? I sent an email on Monday afternoon about employment & resent again this morning, I've had no response to either. *I never did receive the recruitment email, so maybe it only responds to those that did.

I sent a message the other day in binary asking the answer to life, the universe, and everything. LISA replied "Proper firmware upgrades"

Right after the beeps LISA has an abrupt change of tone, in both words and timbre. "You will be put to good use. You are a loyal citizen."
The background music sounds exactly like the first audio recording, so I don't see anything unusual there.

Anyone else working on the audio? (I'm using Audacity -- it's free.)
Reverse the whole clip and then listen to :26 thru :27.5. This is what I'm hearing: "this hour has approached". Can anyone confirm?
(It may also be "and his hour has approached".)

I wouldnt be surprised if Korinthian was chosen. He hasnt posted yet
I actually just listened to my audio recording; it was the same as everyone else's so far. I have regrettably not been chosen. Someone else was the lucky (or unlucky, maybe) winner.

Nothing embedded into the file itself? I need to get a program that will separate each level of sound...

I'm not hearing anything else potentially significant. Going to stop playing with the audio, email LISA and go study.
@Akiva: I don't know how to see if something is embedded in another file. I just reversed it on a whim. The bit I posted was the only clear as day thing; the rest sounded appropriately like gibberish or borderline gibberish. I did use the "remove vocals" option, but that really didn't do much for me.

And the one morse codeish static part sounded like --. when slowed down (and looking at the spectrogram).
Not that it matters, because "G" doesn't mean anything I know of. The only oddity I could find is you will notice that the left and right tracks are different which some distortion is on one and not the other, but it's nothing significant as far as I can tell except being a distortion effect.
