I would imagine the flea ought to be giddy at the prospect of finally being able to grope and attach to the Princess.

As for writing the flea, I think people were able to write to him before by making the title of the e-mail his version number. People wrote him to send him to Subject 5 transcripts so he could forward them to Durga.

just sent him this:
Quote:

!seek Princess
recurse

!analyze Princess >> dmg
!analyze Princess >> scramble

grope:
Princess > !attach Princess
recurse

!behold Princess

!reveal Princess > friends

basically, find all the little bits of Princess
analyze them for damage
reatach them to each other
behold her
reveal her to us!

Food

Oh. My. Goodness.

Melissa says pings are "like food."

What was the SP asking everyone with whom she spoke on Tuesday to do?

Make me a peanut butter sandwhich. Blueberry pancakes. Would donuts be useful in an intergalactic war?

Ping her, people. Ping her.

I'm not exactly sure how this might be related to sending her emails with pictures of Pancakes and Cats, but according to the Beewiki, the contactme.html page is still cycling through the phrase/time combinations (actually, right now it is showing that evil message "the last fortress | 17:23:00" so I can't actually confirm the cycling bit). In any event, perhaps those are the times at which we are most likely to be able to contact her??

Send pictures of food (and kittens) via the ladybee777 email account?

Everybody clap for tinkerbell! Bring her back to life!

Er...maybe it's just me, but before we all go playing cyberjesus and try to ressurect a dead AI with pictures of pancakes, perhaps we should consider what will happen to those pancakes if she is just plain dead?

Do we really want a giant, well fed flea running around?

I think if the Flea gets too big and well fed, Melissa can take him.

More importantly, if the food explanation from Melissa and the Sleeping Princess' requests for food weren't meant to be a clue, I don't think anything will happen. I think it's probably too late in the game to bring in a horse-sized flea. On the chance that this was a connection we were supposed to make, can we do nothing?

She's getting pictures of my kitties, and pancakes, and any photographable food I can get my hands on as soon as I get home.

Oh, and <clap clap clap>

funny you should mention the clapping! i sent her this yesterday:
Quote:

Sleeping Princess Yasmine,
are you still there? can you hear us? I can't believe you're really
gone, I won't!
if you can still read this, give us a sign! tell us what we can do to
bring you back
we had faith in you, alot of us still do, if there's just an itty
bitty little teensy tiny part of you that's still alive and reading
this, let us know!
I've heard that when you say "I don't believe in fairies", a fairy
drops dead somewhere, but if you really really believe, and you clap
your hands, you can bring it back to life, well... I'm clapping as
hard as I can!!!
love,
CoffeeJedi

Sent ladybee777SPLAThotmail.com the following.
Quote:
Sleeping Princess,
You asked me to make you some blueberry pancakes when I spoke to
you last.  So Voila!  I put in red balloon so you could find your way.

Don't know if it will do any good, but it's worth a shot. Mel has seemed more "human" sounding in some of her emails to us, so maybe the SP getting destroyed stablized Mel. Whatever, I send the email, can't do anything about it now! Smile

Well...

Hey, it's worth a shot!

I just sent a frantically apologetic email to the Princess (I am devastated to admit I was one of the folks on chat scanning pages to find the final text marker - we didn't know what we were really doing!). I included a picture of pizza, since I thought she might be tired of all these sweets, and one of my kitties, Fox and Bear.

Fingers crossed - maybe they'll let us redeem ourselves yet!

~A

Edit:
PS- Figured I needed a new avatar to show how I'm feeling now. Sad

A No-Prize to the first person to write an ILB song called Pancake Jesus.

Really.

Pinging is what got the Princess burned in the first place.

Quote:
The process was indeed still there, "feeding" on the presence of the crew's server pings.

When people kept checking out the pages of the ILB server looking for the text markers, it was attracting the SP. She was probably talking about food so much because she was "feeding" off our attention.
