First, let me say that I really enjoy what we know of the story so far and the commitment of the PMs to communicate through Akamu and LISA as consistently as they do. That audio file was cool. Whoever engineered it, nicely done.

That being said, 30 hours is a very long time for this thread to not have a new post and can be directly correlated to what just happened to the pacing of the game.

A week is a perfectly acceptable amount of time between main events but some small sprinkles mid-way through really makes the wait almost unnoticeable.

Well I haven't heard back from Akamu in a while who is busy, and I haven't had anything to say to LISA for a couple days, so that is why I haven't posted sprinkles. Donno about everyone else. Wink

I know that you're not suggesting that I'm being critical but I want to make clear that that's not my intention. If anything, I'd like to just point out that the pacing up to this point has been nice, rather fast at times, and it's that fact that makes this drop off feel so sudden.

Maybe they're gearing up for a big push. Maybe it was an oversight. Either way, if I were a PM, I'd be reading this thread and be disheartened by the drop off of activity. So, I'm just stating that there's most likely just as much interest but that for whatever reason there's a lack of anything to fuel us currently.

We're waiting for things in the mail (hopefully). It appears that the in-game characters don't have much if anything new for us. An interesting storyline with LISA abruptly ended, which was all foreshadowing anyway. And, the only thing that we had that we were trying to achieve, getting the job with Horizon, turned out to be beyond our grasp the entire time.

Dead stop.

Regardless if the pace picks back up next week, a small morsel on thursday or friday could have avoided this lull. Maybe it's intentional, I don't know, but I've mentioned my thoughts about it. They're on record. If there's an "ask the PMs after the ARG ends" thingy, they can expect at least one of my questions. Wink

My ARG sense tells me they are gearing up for a big push that will come when we get our packages.

I hope so. This has been pretty interesting and well done so far.

I'm excited to find out what the hell is going to happen on Atlas and that poor sucker who "tuk r job". They're toast for sure.

Got my call on my voice mail a few days back. Read up on the forums. Up to speed. Waiting for Monday. My only question is where were you asked to put in your address? I missed that and don't want to miss out. I always miss those parts. Grrr...

I was expecting 5 pages of catching up to do - kinda glad nothing big happened. I imagine the next big thing is getting our guides in the next few days.

You were just supposed to give your addy to Mr. Hale. It was posted on the forum at one point. You should still do it I think. =)

Hi, first post, first ARG. I'm hooked, after spending far too long last night catching up on all 45 pages! Shocked I reckon to read through that much and still want to know more this is a good game to get involved in. Laughing

Has anyone followed up on this?

I'm wondering if these names have any significance. Like the Dale name was in a business listing for Horizon Industries, and then cropped up in the original Atlas information, these names could potentially be important.

For the silence at the end of the audio, has it been boosted in volume? That's one way to hide something, making it barely audible... Will do this myself when I'm on my laptop later this morning...

EDIT: Never mind - I was being tired and stupid with the Dale thing... Also, nothing on the end of the audio having boosted it 200%.

I forgot about the guides... I've moved out since I sent him my address.

Hopefully somebody will scan it?

LISA gave me the names...but would not give me any contact info..or pass along any info. Hale didn't know who the two were. I'm hoping the guides might have something..

Douglas Cartwright OOG is a NLP (Neruo-Linguistic Programming) psychologist - an interesting, if unrelated find. I'm probably a bit too late to get a guide, so I am waiting to see what others get from that point.

Huh, so it seems that whoever's running this shindig saw fit to bring me into it. I just got a guide today. Small packet, it contains a Corinthos University Medical Center flyer; a Kruger Industrial Surge Protection Flyer, which mentions LISA and ALICE; A Rightpath Orphanage flyer, which is a subsidiary of Horizon Industries; a Stellar Transit Authority flyer, the guide itself, and an Interplanetary Union business card, which says on the back "FIND THE UNITED!" and has the name of Darren Jones, the Union Ambassador from Centauri. It also has the numbers/time/date 1:41.00. The numbers and FIND THE UNITED! are handwritten in sharpie. Will post scans later
ETA: Incase anyone cares what the envelope looks like, it's gray, with Yimmu Logistics and the Yimmu logo on one side, and
Interplanetary Union
Parliamentary Council

The Independence Building
New Lyon City. Centauri
underneath, formatted like that
On the other side, there's the return address (Interplanetary Union 877 W 41st St, New York, Ny 10018), an IU logo, the stamp, and it has my name and address at the bottom
ETA2: I suppose this makes D. Jones' name Darren
