Re: Package from Byzantium How do you think they got your address? We all would love this package.

Got a package from Byzantium Security over the weekend. It contained a lovely puzzle box with a slick looking little USB inside. All of the files on the drive are password protected, and so far I haven't figured out the password because I am lame.
Pics and a rundown (with some light reviewage) here: http://blog.toenolla.com/?p=499
So far, I've not been able to get a password out of the clues given to me to unlock the files, although...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The letters etched into the puzzle anagram into the word 'HOURGLASS.'
I'd love to post the files, but until I find the password, I have to share it as a single 300mb .zip file, which is rather cumbersome. Can anyone recommend a file sharing service?

Given that HOURGLASS (presumably it's been tried in both upper and lower case forms?) isn't the password, could it be TIME or SANDSOFTIME or something along those lines?

I'm going to guess it has something to do with {as a lot of artifacts like this are} who we know. since both Campfire {and I'm sorry, I only know Mike Monello, but I'm pretty sure he knows Haley} & JC Hutchins {and again, I don't know to what extent his involvement was} are behind this game, and Haley is known to work with artifacts in her own right AND have a blog where she posts about this sort of thing {both her own and other made artifacts} it only seems logical to send her something so awesome. I wouldn't be surprised if a few more got sent out to places like Wikibruce or ARGN {although notgordian seems to not have one, so....} but it doesn't seem the type of thing the public at large could get.
ETA: sure enough, Thebruce got one, although his didn't have a password, his USB was all open like and there was no code on the box he said on twitter.

AHA! I figured out the solution. The password needed to be capitalized, not in all caps or all lower case. I feel dumb for being flummoxed by something so simple!
The contents of the USB are all promotional things for Hunted, including a trailer, poster, press release, and stills of Sam Hunter. I think you've seen them all if you've been through the tests, but I'll post if anyone really wants to look at them. There's also a call out to visit the two sites.
Wish there was more puzzley goodness inside. Still, cool little piece of swag.
DJ Christensen, I recently started a blog series specifically about game artifacts. I give out my address there, so that's probably where they got it.

Oh man! I've completed the test at least four times (I'm an "autonomous striver with hidden strength" pretty consistently) but every time I get past the results page it tells me to install the latest version of flash, even though I have it. I'm on Firefox. What browsers are working for y'all?
Edit: Chrome is freezing too!

I've been having the same issue. I'm using a Mac--is that the problem? I'm not sure why it would be...
I've tried Firefox and Safari so far. As far as I can tell, I am running the most recent Flash update, but it keeps telling me I'm not. Because of that, I can't get past the personality test section. Anyone have any suggestions?

I got the puzzle/usb mail package earlier this week also, I just haven't yet got around to posting about it ack.
Mine, however, didn't come with a password lock on the usb content (or code the wood puzzle)

We've sent out a couple hundred of these puzzles to fan communities, bloggers and journalists, enticing them to try to unlock it."

Reddit found this, and flushed out a couple of new things.
AboveTopSecret got a few more.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Haven't verified, but apparently drawing a family, flower, fire truck, apple, and cat all trigger different endings in addition to the previously discovered house, stick man, and monster
...they also came up with an idea that would have been really cool had it worked -- drawing an hourglass (because of the initial puzzle box) -- sadly, my hourglass apparently looked like a stick figure.

This was an impressively well orchestrated test and I have to take my hat off to the team that put it together. Brilliant work.
I'd love to be motivated to enjoy this - but I just can't manage get excited about yet another hot pouty babe who's going to kick ass and defeat yet another conspiring evil patriarchy.
All I can see here is a mix of Alias, Salt, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Dollhouse, Dark Angel and Scully from The X-Files.
