And on-topic: I've never felt that there is ever a good reason for most of these blogs/vlogs to start. I'd like to see something interesting, or perhaps someone's actual blog they've been running for years suddenly becoming Slender.

I've actually thought of doing this, but I think a problem lays in trying to run the blog without getting the police called. All of the people that followed you before for your day-to-day life will have to be notified that any new posts from that point on won't be factual, and be instructed to not do anything rash in response to future posts. It has a good chance of getting messy if you have a decent amount of followers beforehand, many of which might not check their PM boxes regularly. I know on tumblr that if someone started posting erratically complaining about being stalked, there's a good chance that at least one follower is going to try and call the police, or do some sort of shout-out to the rest of the community. It could escalate very easily into a situation where it would be less-than-ideal to reveal that it was all a story. Ar the very least, I can see you losing some friends over it if you don't warn them beforehand that it's going to be a slenderblog.

Or you could just jump into it without telling anyone and use your followers' responses as fuel for the blog. If anything, their responses will be more realistic because they won't know that it's not real anymore. It should help give the blog some authenticity, if at the cost of your followers' trust.

It's a good idea, but I think it's a bit of a tradeoff.

Okay, I have a "see less" variant:

I want to see a series that doesn't have a Totheark/HABIT/Observer/whatever.

I feel like it works for EMH because HABIT became an actual character that interacted with the cast (& audience), more than just a plot device. I'm sure it works that way for other series, too. But it's so widespread that (A) I'm tired of seeing it & (B) it just kind of feels like a convenient way to spoon-feed information in a disturbing way.

I don't see why it's necessary, & unnecessarily repetitive plot devices are just cliches.

akoolstick and osirischronicles do this to a degree, just not for years. I think the first two were going months before, at least 30 vids in (am i wrong? maybe it just felt like it) before weird happenings come up.

I want to see a brand new and easy to get into storyline between blogs. The Sages thingy has become too complex and big for me to follow. I liked Dreams In Darkness because it wasn't too spread out. It had three blogs. One came after the first two ended.

More creative ones are needed as well. The Tutorial is a stand alone, and it adds new and creepy views to the mythos.

Everyman Hybrid is a good example of a perfect Alternate Reality Game. Have the viewers participate in a trial is incredibly innovative.

It's pretty easy to follow- they sometimes shake things up and enter a new stage of it, but that's to keep it from getting old.

Sorry for the Necro, but just adding my $0.02. I think using the idea of a noperabo as the concept/mythology would be really, really interesting. I tried searching to see if there was one, but since it's Japanese it has a few diffirient spellings in English, so I couldn't find anything relating the myth of the noperabo/noppera-bo, also called a mujina in some legends. i think this could be an interesting take on the mythos for anyone living in Japan, or heck, anywhere I guess since others have used 'German' folklore, actual German folklore, paganism, theistic satanism...

I don't even know what you just said.

Personally, I always found the mythology that objects have souls to be rather interesting.

My wish

I would like to see a series in which the Protagonist or someone at least wishes to pursue Slender man for a certain reason. I understand the fear aspect among the characters is important but overtime I have become weary of it. I would like to see someone who is headstrong and ready, if at least once.

This is an idea that I had for my own series. However, due to a lack of interest by the other actors, I had to cancel it. Still though, I would like to see someone take a stab at it.

Someone should make a series that starts off as a research project about Slenderman mythos. Research that would include the original SA thread, unfiction, the Slender game, all the various blogs and vlogs. In this universe all the blogs and vlogs are considered fiction, obviously. As the protagonists research Slenderman, they begin to discover that possibilty that Slenderman may actually be real, or at the very least, have some sort of real life origin. I think it would be a sort of meta take on the mythos. Its a series that acknowledges that Slenderman is not real. The start of the series is just researching Slendermans impact on internet culture. But then it slowly begins to blur the line between fiction and reality. It would be great if you could even get some of the other creators involved with it. They would be playing as themselves though i.e. Adam Rosner would be playing Adam Rosner. This would give it an added sense of realism. You could interview creators, talk to fans, visit different Slenderman websites, blogs, and vlogs. Meanwhile in the background you have this subplot of the idea that Slenderman isn't limited to mere stories, and may in fact be a real thing.

Amyways, thats just an idea that I had that I cant pull off. I just think its a neat idea. I hope I explained it well enough. It sounded a lot better in my head.

EMH started off, in-universe, as a health video series that included Slenderman easter eggs to piggyback off of the meme's popularity. Slenderman wasn't a focus until the "real" Slenderman showed up.

I do like this idea. The exposition half of it would not be difficult to pull off.
