To Whom It May Concern:

Because of problems with interdepartmental and outgoing mail, we are temporarily talking our email system offline. All incoming messages will be stored in the queue and retrieved as soon as we go back online. All outgoing messages will be temporarily halted.

Thank you for your patience!

They are misquoting!!!!

Plato didn't say that, it was Socrates in the Allegory of the Cave, written by Plato.

Was notified about this one and had to come check it out! Thanks MHS!

Was about to do some google ha-- erm, advanced google search queries when the below came up. It's completely OOG, but I think it's good background info for where the PM's got the name Ariston Institute!

OOG WEBSITE wrote:
ARISTON test is based on advanced psychometric methodologies and mathematical models with the aim to analyse the personality of an individual and match this with specific professions. The test is fully automated, which means that the individual answers a series of well-defined questions on the computer, the questions are analysed and cross-referenced and the vocational profile is then produced, without human intervention. The questions are part of a specially designed battery of tests, including self-esteem, locus of control, personality, interests (according to the theory of Holland), aptitudes and abilities etc. The software is in fact an expert system based on research work carried out by Professor E. J. Yannakoudakis. It embodies human knowledge regarding personality types, special aptitudes and abilities, and corresponding working environments. We can thus claim that the results are objective.

The test utilises a special algorithm (intelligent software) to test the validity of the answers given. In other words, the answers are analysed and a validity score (truth score) is computed, which in fact measures the degree of sincerity in the answers. The score also enables the counsellor to evaluate the credibility of the answers and, consequently, to assess the results and the conclusions regarding the occupational profile of the individual.

The knowledge contained in the database of the tests is classified by age, sex, academic departments, occupations and specialisations, and is based on extensive analyses of thousands of professionals as well as students from the ages of 13 onwards. In other words, the tests have been verified and validated on a very large sample of real cases. The results of the present report can be used to support the tasks of human resources management and personal development. More specifically, the results can:
1.Identify hidden talents, professional inclinations, aptitudes, abilities, and special features of personality.
2.Establish whether the personality of the individual can cope with the requirements of a specific working environment.
3.Verify the practised profession and the degree to which this is compatible with the personality of the individual.
4.Identify alternative vocational interests and occupational areas that are fully compatible with the personality of the individual.
5.Support tasks concerning recruitment, transfer and promotion, area of specialisation, placement of individuals in departments, vocational and career counselling, and general human resources management.

And I'm fairly sure it's OOG since the website was Russian...

To anyone else receiving emails:

I need the subject lines. Beginning to think that the random use of capitalzation in the subject lines may hold another code, or possibly the password we need. PM me, or email them to falcon.of.the.desertsplatgmail.com with JUST THE SUBJECT LINES!

I'm pretty sure in academic writing, you would be expected to cite the quote by author, and mention the character's name only if necessary. However this is not RW academic writing, and I'm okay with the citation going to either Plato or (the fictional)Socrates.

In short, technically not a misquote.

I didn't notice anyone mention this yet: The HTML for the form to register as a student has an error, in which a field named "Political Affiliaton" is not being used.

Flaw? Clue? Who knows?

Lots of things, I'd say... Does anyone have the balls to email the doctor-lady to see if she's ig or oog? (Cause I certainly don't Wink)

How.. What? Have you been accepted and can log in? Where did you see the challange of the week? Can you still see it? What was/is it?
Can anyone else access the challenge of the week?

Edit: Also, when emailing them in BASE64, they/it replies
Code:
Object recognized: email message
BASE64 message

When emailing in backward writing, they/it replies
Code:
Object recognized: email message
message is backwards
reason unknown

When emailing them normal text, they/it replies
Code:
Object recognized: email message
direct communication attempt

So it is probably not far fetched to think that
Code:
Object recognized: email message
mirror language use

means the last email they received and replied this to was in mirror language. And that email would be our applications, no? So I assume our applications were somehow transformed to mirror language, and that's the "difficulty with our online course management system".
I wish I could get really excited about that.

Does this mean Ariston Institute contains more Artificial Intelligence than we are giving it credit for?

So my advanced google searches didn't turn up any passwords for the site. If they're there they are well buried.
