I e-mailed Beth at the Mind Mission Academy. I was extremely blunt but below is the message traffic (Read bottom up). BLUF: She's in game.

No, it's not part of the curriculum. Thank you for clarifying your position though!

Dear Akiva,

Is this "In Game"? What an intriguing question! Do you mean like role playing? Is that part of the Ariston Institute curriculum?

And you're not bothering me Smile

Don't know if this is out of line or not, but is this In Game with the Ariston Institute? If not I will quit bothering you.

There's nothing in Elizabeths emails to indicate either or.
Imma gonna leave the poor lady alone for now. If she's IG I'm sure she'll get back to us eventually.

Edit: Read Akivas email convo. More confused then evah. Isn't that exactly what she'd say if she was OOG?

Booba, how did you find Mind Mission Academy?

Google search for "The Ariston Institute" There were only three hits at the time: here, theirs, and hers. I know it smells fishy, but she sounds so sincere!

@aristononline has this to say "I'm sorry, I'm not sure to whom you are referring. She's not on our faculty."

So what to believe?

Not sure if this works for or against but the picture on the Mind Mission page is The School Of Athens by Raphael.

From Wikipedia

Quote:
The identities of some of the philosophers in the picture, such as Plato or Aristotle, are incontrovertible. Beyond that, identifications of Raphael's figures, even among scholars, have always been conjectural.

That was in the "for" column.

I sent her this:

Quote:
As part of the admission process to The Ariston Institute, we have to question, well everything. If my supposition in sending you this is wrong, then you may well get a chuckle out of it and even join in.

Wishing you well,

That's a rot 13 to this topic. If she's IG she can say she can't solve or something to avoid whats OOG to her.

If she not IG, she (or someone she knows) will solve it and probably have a laugh.

What do you think?

There should be enough there for her to confirm or deny her involvement.

Unless it does neither.

Quote:
I just got back from work and found your rather odd email. I take it that you've heard back from the Ariston Institute and begun the application process? How exciting! I hope I hear from them soon.

I assume the gibberish at the bottom of your email was a little puzzle? Since I never solve puzzles without a glass of wine first I passed it onto my husband, who said he uncovered the URL and plugged it in, but it simply said, "This site does not exist."

Hope I was able to help you with your application!

Beth

Either she's OOG or it's not time yet. I'm going to drop this (unless it comes back up IG)

New tweet:

Coffee THX for doing that, Booba. imo That's a standard PM nudge saying: I'm blind to uF. Am also happy to "drop this" atm 'tho have personally bookmarked the Mind Mission blog as ARG related. *crossing fingers* we hear more soon from the "thinking free" persona who disrupted the A.I. site b/c that was compelling fun.

ETA: Hi Tal. Giggling b/c your posts are always savvy. Even in my speedy-morning-catchup I make a point of reading everything you post. Cyas...

No, she is most def in game, no reason for the url (of the thread that we're talking on right now) to 'not exist' unless it didn't exist in universe. Seconding the "not the right time yet" theory.

Seconded as well. But that doesn't mean we can't do any digging in the meantime. That said, the Mind Mission blog recently noted the hiring of an intern, one "Micah Williams". A google search brings up many candidates, but some are dead and others are RL people with proper backgrounds. However, I did find a YouTube account with absolutely NO activity on it as of yet, except for liking a whole lot of videos lately, including "The Death and Return of Superman", a video about the educational system in the United States.

One of his comments may have given me who is behind this as well.

So, new email... I assume they're asking for our favorites of each category? They said no new clarification at this time... :/ I guess it's up to us to figure that out?

Or is it more of a word association type thing?

I'm going to assume favorite of each? That's what I'm going to fill it out as...I might be wrong, but can't hurt, right?
