...Why would you start a series, of any kind, without having one of the major elements already figured out? I know that I might be taking a bit more 'professional' as opposed to 'gurella' style for my ARGs (not saying one is better than the other), but even if you don't have pre-production/production before publishing, like filming pivotal scenes before they're needed so you can check for continuity errors or ect...You should at least make sure you have all your actors/plot points ready to go.

On topic/less harsh: I think IC would be fun, kind of fuck around with them some. "Never break character" indeed. Maybe when it's all over we can have some new ARG contributers-- that's how I got into ARGs anyway, by playing one and going "oh, this is neat as shit, I want to contribute!" Wink But, that's just my $0.02

I'll admit that I should have made sure I had definite actors for the series ready to go before I started. Chalk that up to over-enthusiasm/excitement/unemployment boredom. I actually did have people who said they'd help out, and now they are, of course, "very busy." I've practically begged them at this point to at least give me a couple hours of their time for one video in which I'm not the ONLY PERSON on camera. Everyone else I know is out of town or doesn't give a crap.

However, I do have plot points ready to go, and I have already filmed a number of scenes ahead of time.

EDIT: This has been difficult, though, since I am the only one working on the project. I desperately need a co-director/someone who won't laugh at me to bounce ideas off of. But if I were waiting for that kind of special someone to come around, I'd probably never be able to make the series at all.

I know the feeling, trust me. Try looking around for some actors who need volunteer credits for Thespian entrance, or if you have money then get some to do it cheap/for the art. Wink Seeing as you live in Texas, you can try castingcalldallas or shortfilmtexas, both of which have sections for webseries as well as a producer/crew section on the forms. (that's what I'm gonna do closer to pre-production date, anyway). (castingcalldallas makes you provide at least meals though, which I still can't figure out how I'm going to do that... Just like... a lunch tray or like catering or actually take them out to eat at the end of each shoot?) Since it is near the start of the school year, scheduling can be tricky but doable if you film enough stuff in advance/in clusters.

Yeah, I was gonna say, don't beat yourself up; I had people lined up, half of them have pulled out. The other half passed out. Or got high.

I've found dating websites are a great way to meet tall people who don't mind standing around in a field in a zentai in the dark, but what I don't know is how I'm going to top that on our second date.
