Mad an account just to point this out (since no one else seemed to have any suspicions about it).

At 4:52ish
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Jay looks towards his car and next to the dumpster down the alley there is a large black shadowy figure. I'm not sure if Jay noticed it but he might have considering he immediately mentions that he feels uncomfortable there. Next time that dumpster is in view (5:22), that shadow isn't there.

Might have been nothing, but I figured I'd mention it.

I'm not seeing anything unusual. I've looked through this entry a few times and don't see anything suspicious, but maybe we can expect a TTA entry from under a dump truck.

I found it interesting that Tim was extremely worried about working things out with his doctor. That was his number 1 priority right afterwords. Even Jay makes a comment (paraphrasing) "it took you a week to work things out with your doctor?"

I suppose this is who Tim was trying to call after his seizure attacks in 61?

OOG: I'm not sure that the Tim we saw in 62 is the same actor as he is in every previous entry and the latest entry. Like, it seems that for just one entry Tim was played by a different guy. I can't quite put my finger on it, but the Tim in 62 doesn't look like Sutton at all...

Honestly, no, I'm not. The guy in 62 doesn't look like Tim Sutton to me. I can't put my finger on it, but it just doesn't look like the same actor.

I feel like if science had found another guy that much like Tim Sutton, then it would have made the news.

All right. First off, this entry was aboslutely FINE. We needed to see some partner-y interaction stuff between Jay and Tim. There's so much genre-savviness going on it's making me DROOL. Very Happy

Secondly, I think we should all try to be a bit more grateful to Trosephim and not ruin other people's enjoyment of the series/forum by making your opinion known in an insulting fashion outside of a rage thread. This is one of the main reasons I haven't been active in a while. The hostility went up considerably during the long wait. Which WOULD be completely acceptable if this were a real life situation and not an online forum. This is not a conversation. We can think through and edit our opinions before we send them out where they can be viewed by everyone. So, please, have your opinions, but be considerate about how you make those opinions known.

But, anyway, I actually quite liked this entry. Although the wait has DEFINITELY been long, it seems as though Trosephim have a very specific idea of where the series will be going. I like the feeling of certainty that you can feel in the script now.

It's the same actor. His hair is longer and messed up in Entry #62. He just looks all disheveled from being unconscious out in the middle of a forest for who knows how long.

This could be the beginning of a great buddy cop movie...

Yes, and no. Of course pravado is welcome to his opinion. But this thread is for discussing the entry, and pravado's post--hell, posts--are venting about how he hates the direction the series has taken since whenever. It seems to me there's a thread specifically for that, to prevent such things from derailing this thread.

I'm happy pravado has an opinion, but it's not so terribly important that it overrides consideration for the discussion this thread is actually intended for.

As to the rest, Slendy for Slendy's sake is boring. Give me plot any day.

Talking about how there was no development in an entry we waited almost a month for is discussion about the entry. Make no mistake, this was not plot development, this was not exposition, this entry did absolutely nothing to advance the story. This entire entry could have been done in a tweet. Think about that, over three weeks for five and a half minutes that could have been completely conveyed in 140 characters.

Showing the Operator just to jump scare or for the sake of showing him is bad, but putting up an entry just because there hasn't been one in a while is pathetic.

I love how everyone is all like "OMG JAY Y U NO POST ON TWITTER INSTEAD. WASTE OF ENTRY."
If that was how it went, i can imagine quite a few of you would piss about "OMG NO NEW ENTRY, JAY Y U NO RECORD SHIT FOR US"
Y'all need to deal. <3

No, there was plot development, and we got character development, too. We found out that the Jay/Tim partnership was not nearly as well-formed after the 62 cliffhanger as it may have appeared, but they've finally agreed to help one another, and have made actual plans for where to go next. It took characters who were taking no action, and set them in motion. That's plot development.

We found out that Tim has some lingering resentment for Jay. We found out that Jay's priority is to find Jessica, but that Tim is less committed to that goal. We found out that neither party really trusts the other yet: Jay thinks Tim is putting them at risk with his plans to meet openly and go to Rosswood; Tim thinks that Jay's pursuit of Jessica ignores the immediate threat and that he can't be trusted not to share everything with the world. That sets up tension in the partnership. That means we got character development that could have massive implications in the plot down the line.

The test for whether an episode contains plot development isn't "could this have been done in a tweet." I don't think all this could have been done that way, of course, but even if they had tried, how would it have added more?

I really wish this forum had a "like" button for posts, because this one is truly worthy of it.
