Hi,

I saw your webpage listed from the Tranquil Valley main page and since
I'm traveling through the general area, I thought perhaps your inn
might be a good place to stay? Smile I do a lot of traveling and like to
stay at the little places since every Hilton is the same as the other.
I'll probably be in that neck of hte woods in mid January, though if
a deal falls through much earlier.

Could you give me a listing of your rates?

Thanks,
Norville O. Freiherr

Good Evening,

Our regular rates are $130 a night. For any stay over two days, $110 a
night. We do offer special rates for our frequent guests, like some of the
salesmen who travel through our area. That price of course includes all
meals an amenities. I hope you will choose to stay with us.

Thanks for your interest,
Megan

Idea about book puzle. Number of power times the number of brightness. Or whatever.

Andrew mailed me a clue to the location of his diary, which contains some interesting information.
It's a bit personal though, and he hasn't given it to me directly, so I'm not posting it.

This message is just to give you this knowledge to use in your mails with Andrew so you can maybe get him to tell you about it too.

DIARY

from Andrew Gray...

from Andrew Gray...

Majestic,

Do I have a diary? That's a rather specific question, isn't it? I would imagine you heard something about my online journal from Dr. Kender or Dr. Smith working with Immersion Unlimited. I did intend my simple test for the entire organization... if you can find my secret journal then I will know you are a true researcher.

So he said he intended the "simple test" to be for the "entire organization"...so could you just give us the e-mail that he sent you? We don't know what you asked to get him to give you the clue.

Good evening, Andrew! I want to allocate my time and resources to help you find Anne. I know things are stalled at the moment which could provide to be a useful time for me to catch up on any information or findings on your part.

Do you keep a journal or diary to help me catch up?[/quote]

New news on the tranquil valley website:

Quote:
More Trick than Treat. - October 28th, 2004
Several residents of Tranquil Valley recieved an unpleasant surprise this morning with horrible findings of dead animals on their doorsteps. This is believed to correspond with the rash of late night police calls from various residents of possible prowler activity. "I can't believe that this sort of thing would happen here!" exclaimed a shaken Wilma Stevers, a resident on 4th Street. "I didnt hear anything last night and this morinng, to find a coyote on my front porch just lying there, with all the cuts....what kind of sadistic monster would do this, anyways?"

A total of 19 animals were found on various doorsteps this morning. All appeared to be local wildlife. All were ritually mutilated. "This goes beyond simple Halloween pranks," said John Donaldson, Chief of Tranquil Valley Police in a hurriedly arranged press conference early this morning. "This is the work of a seriously disturbed individual, or several individuals."

Chief Donaldson did not take questions and no additional information has been released. The police currently do not have any suspects in either event.

I read the entire journal. This seems the most important:
Code:
 Package

Something completely bizarre happened today. I'm sitting at my desk, doing some research in between games of Go (I was bored), and there's a knock on the door. I go to answer it, and there's no one there, but as I'm closing the door I noticed a package on the floor. It was just a big padded manila envelope. No name, no address, totally blank. I was a little worried about opening it, I mean I've seen too many movies and tv shows not to be a little hesitant, but I figured since it wasn't ticking…

It was a book. Not just any book mind you, but what appears to be one of the Adrmur volumes. Except that it's not on my list. There was a small note inside the front cover of the book, but it was all garbled or something. All of my attempts to decypher it through conventional decryption have failed. It just says "Oi cicle yolci li brints nonci chi dorphal lap. T drix laiad nonci adgt toh tol."

I called Marcus since he helped me out on the case, he's going to get back to me.

Anyone willing to try and crack the code?

[PUZZLE] Found on Andrew's blog

This is from his May 2004 entry, with the package.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Text is in enochian, and I used the Enochian/English dictionary listed on page 2.

Direct translation on a per-word basis:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

First sentence:
{This} {mysteries, the} {brings forth} {first - var on 'ili'} {have} {are} {look, with gladness} {for}.

Second sentence:
{It} {brings down} {truth, the secrets of} {you, o you} {can} {triumphs} {all | on all}.

[EMAIL] From Andrew Grey

Hello,

A few years ago, a family member of mine went missing. The case was
resolved in the usual awful way -- she was found dead. That's why I
try to help with other missing-persons cases if there's a way. When a
friend of mine forwarded me your Anne Fisher email, it caught my
attention and decided to email you. Is there anything else you can
tell me about this case?

Thanks,
Norville O. Freiherr

Norville,

I'm so sorry to hear about your family member. I am all too familiar with
the "usual awful way" in which missing persons cases are so often ended.
I'm afraid that at this time there isn't anything new I can tell you about
the case. Anne disappeared on the 1st of October, and since my
investigation shortly after that time there have been no new leads or
developments. I'm beginning to fear that this case will be ended in the
awful way.

[EMAIL] To Andrew regarding translation

From: numberonefan
To: andrewSPLATgrayinvestigation.com

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I've sumbled upon your blog, hope you don't mind. Smile I know you won't
mind when I tell you I've decoded that goofy message you got with the
a package back in May 2004. Doing some research with 4 of the book
titles that were stolen, I found those were in a language called
Enochian. I found a dictionary and have done a rough translation so
far...

First sentence:
Oi cicle yolci li brints nonci chi dorphal lap.
{This} {mysteries, the} {brings forth} {first - var on 'ili'} {have}
{are} {look, with gladness} {for}.

Second sentence:
T drix laiad nonci adgt toh tol
{It} {brings down} {truth, the secrets of} {you, o you} {can}
{triumphs} {all | on all}.

I'll work on a better translation, and maybe you want to as well, but
I thought I'd inform you of what I've found.

Told you I like to help with missing persons cases Smile

Have a good night,
Norville
