Sorry, but after the event where people said she was treated poorly by the others, and yet after 20 years in the company holding 2nd highest clearance level...it may turn out that she is a very important player, who was hiding in the shadows.
Now the appointment to essentially death/extermination squad leader...definitely you would appoint a person with your full trust, and capable of such things, as well as keeping her mouth shut.
So maybe the Russian guy is not the cleaner? Dunno, lot's of speculations possible

personally i think they are gonna take us all to the opening of the byoretreat in nov 3rd, we show up n its some kind of concentration camp disguised as a retreat so they can kill us off and contain the virus

So with Bernice going around talking smack about the other employees, and deciding to take a vacation to the Cayman's during a viral outbreak that her company caused, I think her time of avoiding our scrutiny might be at an end. She''s got the unflappable Tyler running scared even; he hasn't even said "boo" in the IT&Creative forum.
