Well, you asked for an explanation to the mentality, so...& if you ask me, what makes the EMH/TT Crossover bearable is the fact that it ended. That one intersection was enough of a pain in the ass.

2) Are you in the creator's group/friends with creators on facebook/tumblr?
3) Have you asked anyone? Cause people are constantly crossing over, and I'm sure you'll find someone willing to...

I'm thinking that's related to the fact that even though there are (now) a handful of vlogs popping up in California, California is nearly the size of the whole east coast...
Not as convenient as "we're both in NJ!"
Also, people in California are craaaazzzzzzyyyyyy...

2:I hate facebook/tumblr (anditshardtofindcreatorsofblogsmostofthetime)
3:Most of the time I am not sure how to approach, like, "Should I ask ICly or OOCly? Do they even read their messages, and if not, where would be a better place to talk to them if they DON'T GIVE THEIR EMAIL OUT," etc.

This is actually a very good question. It felt like it should be obvious, but then it's not really. I think I'd be tempted to respond IC just to see what happens.
