Hm, interesting entry. I did feel like it was very suspenseful, but it was defintely filler. Not much plot advancement. Or maybe I just didn't recognize it, I don't know, I need to rewatch the series as a whole.

I saw some plot/character development in Jesse. I feel like the series has gone off topic from the Slender Man and more onto the Order/Jesse, though.

Why would you consider this "filler"? It's the culmination(at least start of) of the whole "how are we going to deal with Jesse" thing. And we've finally got some action in that direction.

Now, granted, I could see the argument that, by the end of the entry, the characters haven't gained any new information, per se (and thus, it is "filler"). But we did see, yeah, dealing with Jesse is not going to be an easy task (he certainly saw past their kidnapping attempt).

I really enjoyed the entry and, hey, more cult stuff is great by me. I'm hoping we get to see some of the ramifications of the crossover play out here; that is, we see the results of, presumably, the elimination of a significant portion of the Order's members and what effect that has on the actions of the group.

It's hard to say where they're gonna go from here (as clearly taking the offensive didn't go too well). Perhaps Daniel will overturn some new information? Regardless, I think it's relatively safe we have a lot to look forward to coming up. Keep doing the good work, DH.

I agree. This could not be filler. Jesse was still cool with Alex and Chris and didn't "check their youtube much". But when Noah ratted both of them out and said Jesse was the person who sent him. That's when Jesse was given the order to kill them both.

What boggles me is how the cult is still active, especially the one who was floating in mid air and then fell to his death on top of Alex's car. If anything they should be thanking Chris and Alex that their God has made contact with them.

It's the only thing ripping the hair out of my head at this time.

Fair enough, though, I for one, am perfectly fine with it. The Order is right up there with my favorite parts of all the Slenderseries and having a more tangible face (Jesse), rather than just unknown group members, attached to it makes it even better.

That isn't to say Slenderman shouldn't be sticking around. I'd just rather have him put to good use when it "makes sense" to involve him, rather than have him become obligatory. Entries that can function well with or without Slenderman being directly present...Now that's a benchmark of a good series.

Two perhaps dumb questions:

1) Wait...You're saying the guy that was being held in mid-air back in the woods is the same guy that got thrown onto the car? I thought that was the person that ran into the car during the chase out of the woods...Though I could be mistaken.

2) Going along with that, are you saying the guy who fell on the car is still alive (that is, present in this most recent video)? And, if so, where is he in the video?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you watch TribeTwelve's 'the order' it shows a man praising Slendy and then his clothes are left behind and his appearance is unknown. Then some of the Order run in panic while another is hoisted into the air as Noah departs back to Alex. One cultist is shown with his mask off when Noah enters the vehicle and runs away. As they drive off, the same cultist is dropped face-first unto the windshield with his brain matter everywhere.

I don't know if the overseer was the one taken from 'The Order' video but his voice is definitely present here. I wonder why they proceed to continue their rituals when Slenderman was obviously not fond of what they were doing or is just a Troll as most ARGs present him as.

These aren't ARGs, by the way.

As for this episode, I felt that it was a great, focused effort. Not too many series can hold my attention for more than four minutes.

Even if it isn't an ARG it's very well played out. I mean a cult and slendy combined? It's like a Silent Hill series. What's not to love Very Happy

Man,was that awesome! Just when I think that they couldn't get any better, they go and prove me totally wrong and I mean that in the best of ways.
I concur with other opinions here that DH is consistent in the quality of their work and storyline. When I watch them--I am 100% involved and committed to the moment because they make it seem so REAL.

As much as I love a few other Slender Vlogs,I would have to say that I feel this one is the one that sucks me in and makes me forget that I'm watching fiction.I love the way they have fleshed the story out and even though they have other people involved/crossing over--I have not felt overwhelmed or confused.

When Jesse pulled up and insisted they go in his car,I got a very bad feeling, but in that moment, only regarding having to leave all their "equipment" behind.I was merely frustrated. But then when I saw it was dark out and they were driving to the boonies and Jesse finally parked and said "i'm sorry,guys...." I was sick in my heart and it got amplified even more when I saw them kneeling and about to get the axe.I felt real trepidation and anxiety and was SOOO hoping what's-his-name would show up.

Totally EPIC! Cool

Awesome, simply awesome. Re it being filler, uh, sorry, got an appointment back on Planet Earth. Just for resolution of the Jesse thing.

So, firstly, an awesome way to break out of the 'protagonist agrees to ridiculous meeting with threat forces'. I was actually really looking forward to Jesse getting worked over.

Obvious question now is where to go from there, I imagine the game has significantly changed but I really hope they don't get into the 'omg let's quit' pattern again.

Holy fuck that was great. I really cant wait to see what is next, Do you think they are going to run? perhaps go into hiding? I cant imagine that staying put would be a wise thing to do. And whats going to happen to Jesse? he disobeyed an order from his overseer, could this mean that he is going to switch sides? or will he just end up dead or have make up for it in some horrible way? This series is by far one of the best.

AWESOME.

Jeff: Looks like I got here just in the nick of time. You know what that makes me?
Chris and Alex: A big damn hero!
Jeff: Ain't I just.

That's right, I went there.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I wonder if Jesse's gonna survive this, though.

A strong point of Dark Harvest has always been suspense.

Every third word out of the main characters being "Fuck!" or "Fucking!" kills any suspense that they might have been building up for me.

Or any word coming out of Tim from MH's mouth is suspense.
