Entity's Slenderman has ears and claws, Hylo's Slenderman seems like it will stay true to the creepy creature trying to blend in with humanity.

Looking forward to this! I think this might actually turn out pretty good, considering everything. I've heard much worse acting in actual Slender Vlogs as well.

Well, at least Hylo is staying true to the mythos: There's always a character named J.

But yeah, I'm really excited for this. I think it will definitely be better than Entity. And, even besides that, I think it will just be a good movie. Can't wait.

I really wish I could go to the screening in Philadelphia. I live about half an hour away, but this weekend I'm going to VA. Go figure But if any of you guys go, please share your thoughts! I'm definitely intrigued.

Awesome, another Delawarean! Representin' the First State, haha. And you're going to the screening, correct? I'm glad someone in the area gets to take advantage of it!

The acting looks sub-par, but it looks like it's trying to be good, which is more the I can say for entity.

Well I'll agree that trenchcoat guy seems to be overdoing it a bit, but the rest felt sorta reasonable.
Still, if they actually manage to focus on the characters, rather than ooo spoooky slender mans cash in, then I'll be able to excuse some faulty acting.

For those of you in OR near Philadelphia who are planning on seeing the premiere here is a link to Hylo's Tumblr with the graphic for flyer's that they are going to place around Philly. The graphic has the time, date, and location of the premiere.

Hylo is officially out, for those interested. $15.00 for a DVD. But it's also free to stream for the next 5 hours at http://www.reelhouse.org/hylomovie/hylo/hylo452/videos
Might as well watch it while it's free, gents.
Edit: Ok, guys. Just finished it. This movie is bad. Very bad. Especially considering the hype for it and the budget it seems to have had. There are maybe one or two moments in it that were genuinely tense and adequately done.
Aside from that it's a poorly made film in nearly every regard. Awful acting, jagged pacing, laughable dialogue, flat characters, amateurish shooting, repetitive music, and a positively normal-sized Slender Man. I can see, on some levels, a respect and fondness for the original mythos, but this is a very bad movie.

An hour and a half I'll never get back. This movie is terrible for all the reasons JustJim mentioned, definitely not worth the $15; which is a shame considering the budget it had and how people were excited about it.
You know how Troy mentioned in one interview that Alex's Marble Hornets film was supposed to be "your stereotypical pretentious student film"? Hylo is that kind of movie, and made even worse because it's not even a "so bad it's funny" thing. It's just bad.

That's...disappointing. Really too bad. I was hoping that it would be able to trump Entity; but, now, we have two bad Slender Man movies out. I'm not going to pay for it -- I'll just take your words for the quality of the movie.
From the turn out of this movie, it seems that the vlogs and blogs still dominate the Mythos. So far, Hollywood has failed to pull off a successful Slender Man movie. So, the position of "First Good Slender Man movie" is still open, for those who want it, I suppose.
EDIT: By the way, the movie had a budget of $4,000. I don't have much concept of money beyond how much $100 is, so...Is $4,000 much for a movie?
