I was just thinkin... wouldn't it be funny if these really were physical training events? No Bungie, no reps, no xbox's, no halo, but a real field test, with military, or drill sergeants or something... like, melissa would con the nearest military into fulfilled a black op requiring training of the most unlikely people at each of these places for the military... and only the successful will get commedation... Razz

I can just images crowds of geeks lining up unbeknownst for military drills Laughing all decked out in their ilovebees shirts, cameras, recording stuff, backpacks, food & drink, headsets, controllers... only to find out they've got to run a 5 minute mile, complete obstacle courses, fire accurate rounds at gun training, all that... Laughing

that would be a day to go down in history, the best ARG con ever... Smile

As someone with pneumonia, I think it's a horrible idea. (Sorry.) And I think Microsoft/Bungie would avoid it because of the mountains of liability issues.

Oh. Yeah. Argued morality most of the morning (and on top of it discussed a closing argument with an attorney) -- tends to make me a little monofocused.

<forcibly lightening up>

if bungie's there, everyone who goes is living my dream... (:
i've been obsessed with bungie for forever... even if they're not, hey, when else do you get to meet a bunch of people who you answered pay phones around the country with?

speaking of which, when everyone gets to their perspective meeting places, everyone take a picture around a pay phone... you know... for future generations of ARG-ers... they need to see the beekeepers in action! (:

Well all I can say is that whoever gets to go to the thing should mail a copy of their events to the webmaster of Halo.Bungie.Org Smile

And to all who get to go I leave you with this message:

I hope I meet you on xbox live!!! One day I shall slay thee for your early playing of halo 2... Evil or Very Mad

You'd think there would be some way to get in on this from the home... maybe register my Gamertag with the PMs, and they push some d/l onto my box at home (I know it would be a huge-fastic download, but well worth it to get to play with the rest of you) and allow us to game with the people at the locations, if indeed it is being hosted on Live.

Some kind of "submit your [insert Mel's futuristic term for gamertag here] to me via the killer's channels, and assist your crewmembers in training remotely" or something.

'real training'

Could you think of a better way to build an army? Create a ARG that a bunch of hackers and gamers play with a passion? Building an electronic army of phreakers and geeks. ILB is just the begining for Project Mayhem.

OK, but it would be pretty funny you have to admit. BTW, my real name is Tyler Durden. OK just kidding.

Discovered AMAZING graphic:

Hey Goddess Squard (and Honorary Members hehe) are you still looking for shirt ideas? well, compliments of thebruce how about this on your shirts?

Amazing image:

We wants it, preciousss.

All right, oh masters of photoshop. Impromptu contest. The best alteration of this image (providing thebruce is okay with that) that has:

1. A crown on the bee;
2. Has been enlarged to t-shirt size
3. Goddess Army in a nice font (feel free to make it 3-D, glowing or whatever strikes your fancy); and
4. Something in Covie-speak (it can say "Goddess Squad" or whatever you'd like it to say, within the bounds of decency)

will receive (if they are not going to an event) a souvenir of some sort with shipping paid by us and an honorary membership in the Goddess Army.

I have to leave, temporarily, but I'll add this to the other thread where we were discussing t-shirts as well.

zz

Sorry a little off topic but... are we expecting any updates on Friday anymore? I wish the PM's would give us more detailed info on Friday instead of Sunday... makes planning a tiddle easier. Nevermind the use of the word "tiddle".

well, I'm ok with it, but you may want to check with the maker of the bee graphic, and bungie for the H2 logo Very Happy all I did was put the two together and add a bit of a glow... I'm not selling anything, but selling t-shirts but infringe on one or few laws... Razz but I'm impressed you grabbed the image... hehe

We don't want them to SELL.... we just want them. We probably couldn't make them through cafepress (because then someone would be turning a profit).

We are planning on making decals for home-made shirts. It should be okay.
