^^^ I lol'd.

The picture wasn't exactly "flaming", but please, PLEASE don't start flaming others simply because they voiced their opinions. I know we're better than the Tribe Twelve fanboys, folks. Just respect their views. Not everyone is going to love the series like we do.

Terrible last two videos.

This series has hit the rock bottom.

Honestly... I agree.
It's a horror series. It should be scary. This didn't scare me. It bored me.
It was an eight minute long villian monologue in which they tried to imitate Heath Ledger's Joker, and failed. As one youtuber commented: "When it cuts to Jeff being tortured it sounds like a really awkward gay club or sexy party."
Compare this with "The property." That was 13 minutes long, and most of it was scary.

In EMH's defence, they're not the only series that has had some disappointing output lately.

Lo0ol! I love MT >_<

Even though I thought the only real scary part of the two videos was the short clip of what I assume was Jeff getting his fingers chopped off-- and he made that pitiful cry, which was amazingly genuine-- every good horror story needs some build up. There are lots of EMH videos that aren't exactly frightening, but they keep you tense and reveal just enough to keep you interested. I feel like these two videos were exactly that and fall into the equation of horror story exposition quite well.

Also, the ARGs based on creepypastas are more horror/mystery hybrids by the nature of their content. We're disturbed because we don't know what the aggressor is and desperately want to find out. We're playing along to gain knowledge along the way, and we can't absorb anything new if we're scared shitless the entire time.

I personally don't think Jeff is dead.
Remember Sigma?
HABvan made a big deal of pointing out that Steph/Vin/Jeff/Evan have blood that emits "Sigma" radiation. The same blood that the "Monsters" have.
They are monsters too, in their own way. Even if they don't realize it.
All those scenes HABIT has shown us... Jeff's overdose, the car accident, etc.
Maybe those DID happen. They live through them and rationalize them away, forget they happened. Remember how fast Evan's arm healed? Without scars? Everyone thought it was HABIT's influence, but maybe it was just because they can't be permanently hurt that easily? Remember Jeff saying he felt he should have drowned with his parents, how he shouldn't be here?

I think Slenderman finally shoved Jeff at HABIT and said "Alright, you take him out of the equation for good." So HABIT puts on a little show, films it for us and Slenderman. But we don't see a body.

And notice, this is taking place at the same time Slenderman is with Vin and the Doc. He's distracted. He's not watching HABIT.

I think HABIT's planning a rebellion. I think he needs Jeff to help solve the mystery, break the cycle. But even Jeff probably won't know this is his intention.

EMH strayed far from where they started, as a traditional Slendy vlog, and I'm glad they did. They obviously found what they like doing and are good at, which is much more psychological thriller with multiple reality layers than straight-forward monster horror.
Watching these two clips I realise I absolutely prefer this. I am totally invested and care more about the outcome of EMH than any other vlog.

I wish I could care like you. But for me I feel essentially the opposite of you in every way.

I'm sure Noah will provide enough tentacle action and nightly excursions to cover for them Smile

Wasn't sure whether or not I should put that in tags.

No, but it really seems that way.

Why was HABvan constantly pursuing Jeff almost obsessively?

Sorry to double quote, but I was perusing TVT and found that someone posted a deliciously relevant theory under WMG:

"The Rake is attacking Alex because of HABIT's Jealousy.

Considering Jeff is some sort of incarnation of Fairmount Jeffrey, HABIT is jealous that Alex could be Jeff's brother, when HABIT, being Fairmount Evan, is Jeff's brother (At least his adopted brother.)"

Could that also be why HABIT loves all the things about Jeff that Evan hated, as he mentions on various occasions in "Very Happy"? And is that why he targeted and killed Jeff as well as Alex?

I'm on my way to get vivisected by saying this, but, well, I find Marble Hornets kind of lacking, ever since the tunnel entry.

EverymanHYBRID has kept this Hybrid on his toes ever since he first saw it.
