Man, every time I read or hear the word "filler", I just think of icing.

Well, doing research on it, I'll tell you you're all wrong about "filler." Before you jump on me, I'll say I was wrong too. Fillers are technically used to fill time, yes. But I've found NO DEFINITION related to serial media that does not include this premise. PERIOD.

"Filler is any episode or part of an episode of an Anime series that contains events not present in the original source Manga."

Meaning, that in the case of serial media it is impossible to have true "filler" present unless you are translating a serial in real time from another source as it is concurrently being produced. Therefore we can put it to rest, unless the guys run out of script (they haven't) and write up BS to stall for time, then there is no "filler" present.

While my sources (yahoo questions and Urban dictionary, to name a few) are not really what you'd call sources, there was absolutely ZERO-- NOT ONE other mention of a definition or reference to the term "filler" in conjunction with serial media. Thank you for making me do a little bit of work. Sad
