I have noticed that the Operator symbol from Marble Hornets shows up in Tribe Twelve's videos now and then, and stuff that happens in Tribe Twelve shows up in Everyman Hybrid, and visa verse. It's all very subtle...

Nah. The operator symbol showed up in Tribe Twelve because Tribe Twelve started out as an homage to Marble Hornets. This is pretty well-known. No crossover element there.

It's so sad, because the same guy that wrote some of the best X-Files episodes ("Humbug", "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose", "War of the Coprophages" and "José Chung's From Outer Space") is an executive producer on Fringe. It makes me think that people only have a certain amount of quality in them before they turn to shlock.

And as long as we call one of the babies Groucho, I'm down with that.

The same argument could be made (and has been, many, many times, on Tumblr) about Steven Moffat. Every episode he wrote of the first four seasons is pure gold, and this is pretty much unanimously agreed upon. But for some reason his tenure as showrunner has come under some serious fire, undeserved in my opinion.

And thought that argument can be made, I think it's loquacious nonsense. The reality is that writers write what people will watch. In the 90s we, as a culture, transitioned away from serious shows with serious continuity to something...less sensible. You can see it in the downfall of The X-Files as a whole. And now we have Lost, and Fringe. In hindsight it's kind of painfully obvious.

ANYWAY BACK ON TOPIC

I'd say the sudden activity is just because most of these guys are in college and probably only doing this when they're together. Over the summer, I bet most of them are to separate to really set up a solid filming schedule. Even if they are close to each other, the lack of an overall schedule during summer break can make it tough to stay on the ball. Plus there's something about the start of autumn that just injects you with motivation.

Or it might be just the fact that most if not all of the creators are part of the big Group on Facebook so we talk to each other every day. It makes it easier to connect an collaborate.

Tell Phenom to shut up? (No seriously that is the first rule, the one you're talking about is actually number seven.)
