so far, all i can get outta the pics is that there're two jpgs in each of the first 2...can't figure out how to pull the other jpg out...the reason i know there's a 2nd, cuz after the error/log message, there's another set of jpeg tags.

good find on the sites, though i can't get to either of them (stupid network admins where i work block a lot) the athena place gives me not found error..but you have whois info, so i know it exists....can't wait to see it!

edit 1: I contacted 2advanced about helpin us out with channel51 n' stuff (as far as providing some webspace), but Mr. Novak didn't even seem to know that there was a game goin on he also said he couldn't reveal customer information, that to find contact info, we had to look up the public DNS records.

Also, sent an email off to Samantha, asking about the descrepency of AIM names (YX455/KA054)...no response yet

edit 3: the blog has a picture at the top....that i just wasted an hour on trying to enhance to read the text....only to find out that the pic is part of the blog templates. oh well.

actually, there are a bunch of "New Sages" on the nintendo.com boards that have mp2 themed user names. i found this out by reading nintendo power. they even have a subliminal ad for the site as "two" of their new "sages" are named, respectively, channel and 51.org.
"Your grasp of the obvious is astounding"-master, I-ninja.
also, the user names sound like enimies and planets in the metroid universe.

ok, so what we found out today:

The number 3 is "the key" to Orbis Labs
Orbis Labs will announce something big soon.
And what i feel the most important: Samantha Manus has a forum up and running....somewhere...we need to find it to talk to her.

Athena Astronautics
When i goto this site, I see this giant neon sign that says "look! we're building backstory for the metroid series! look over here! plot!". All kinds of "women are best for space exploration" and "the future is ours" kinda stuff...no puzzle though, not that i can find. There is a mention of an equation, but this is an actual equation. if you insert 3's into all the values, i believe the result is 729. 7+2+9 = 18. 18/3 =6. or 18/6 = 3. or 1+ 8 = 9. 9/3=3. i dunno if there's anything there, but there ya have it. also, in the explanation under the equation though, they mention an extra value that's not in the equation itself -- fi -- which is described as: "The fraction of the above which actually go on to develop intelligent life"

New videos. Verification of KA054 as being the new, 'correct' contact. now what do we do with yx455? i don't know...i'll keep talkin to him, since he does still log on. beyond that, standard channel51 articles.

no update to orbis labs, as i said earlier, but i think they think we have enough info to crack the password (there's a whole page on channel51, talking about how she's trying to hack the site -- does that mean we're meant to as well?), what with the "orbis labs, 3. that's all you need to know".

so any help would be appreciated..............a lot....
