Hi, lurker here *waves*
I've been following this for a while, and that numbers grid reminds me of some maths I didn't pay attention properly to in uni... (damnit)
If anyone's good with maths thought I might as well post in case this is of any use:
http://practicalcryptography.com/ciphers/hill-cipher/
Apologies if that's already been posted / is irrelevant / I'm completely misunderstanding the entire thing, I'm pretty new to ARGs, be gentle

Hi hybrid. Welcome aboard! The more help and ideas the better.
I got a simple email from LISA this morning:

President Sparrow is not too happy this morning.
I can only assume it's in response to Allison and our dead-drops from the weekend.

What do you guys think about leaking the unlawful execution of Adam to the IU press? They did do a story on his arrest...

Reckon that's a superb idea. Personally, I'd withhold Wallace's name & run it by Allison first. The IU editor is Elaine Rudick, pressSPLAT interplanetaryunion.net

Distraction thought it was due to missing files, I assumed it was the loss of the Atlas employee and his transport vessel.
The president has a lot of things to be upset about, apparently. I guess what goes around, ey..?

Thanks
I'm catching up on the piles of pictures from the weekend, loads of stuff there to look at.

If I'm not mistaken, the txt files in Tanner's dropbox implied that the missing probe and ALICE should be popping out of slipspace either yesterday or today (unless I'm misinterpreting things). Perhaps he's a little upset about something to do with that?

Hey guys GREAT work! Sorry about Adam too. But will start to look at our grid and see if I can come up with anything.

It's a little over an hour later at this point. No details yet on location of exit. That far out we're looking at about a week before we know anything at all.
@sine I totally agree. The ship went missing 10.7. I would assume that it would exit at anytime now.
That's a scary thought. Every horror movie I have ever seen if running through my head...:shudder:
Oh, and Hi @hybrid! Welcome to the board.

Just for giggles, i sent LISA an email back regarding this..something mildly snarky about what does the Prez have to be upset about. Haven't heard back.

Just in case we need it, here is the grid transposed so that the data is in columns since the audio stated them as such.
Code:
C R I 1 I Y D A G S
T 5 9 I F F J 5 R 2
7 Q H 9 S K H R L F
Z Z G F F 8 N 5 C 5
R Q 1 Q 5 0 E D 4 D
I I Z X U 2 M I D U
6 L N W Y 8 C 7 X N
F C Q W 2 0 D U Z 3
E C 4 F G B G W 8 F
R K J 4 X S N X U R
Also, we picked up two drops, was that all there were or are there more out there?
So just noticing that the column that starts with Dj is the only one without numbers in it. Maybe something?

It's a bit tough working on this one without knowing if we have everything we should need to solve it or not. If not, we could easily sink a lot of time into it with no hope of solving. However, given the wording in the instructions I think we might have everything. Just curious, was the CD an audio CD or a data CD?

That's the original file Chelbelle uploaded. It was labeled as audio ( I think?!) and the instructions were to listen to the audio..then decrypt. So, I assume its audio..but stranger things have happened.
I'm beginning to wonder if all this data that we got is for another site..not servers.horizonindustries.org/atlas. Its the decrypting a 10 digit character into 7 digits that's tripping me up.

So when I got my drop, the guys had 2 other bags. I got mine, Pennyworth couldn't make his, and we saw pics of the other drop. So I'm thinking they are all done, for now.
And the CD is audio, with one file on it. Which I uploaded. I wish I could e more helpful.

Wonder if there is info in Pennyworths bag that we could use? Damn, there is no way to find out either.
