A pretty good entry no matter where you stand on MH.

I was initially disappointed that the pairing of Tim and J was broken up so quickly, but the chest camera footage is the next step, probably from a TTA video.

I'm thinking that there's definitely something at the end of the tunnel, maybe even the series endgame. If we were applying real world logic, it would suggest going on top of the tunnel around it somehow. May still happen seeing as how they need to get to the other side of that tunnel somehow. Unless they find something that will temporarily neutralize the Operator.

Also, Tim's noticeable eyebags are the same as J had in the TTA entry where he's messed up on the floor as the Operator glides past. I hope we get something more than just Tim coming back with memory loss.

Well, I went out of town for the weekend and missed all the fun. Great entry, though. Best Operator appearance in a long time. Maybe ever.

Am I the only one who thought that Jay's been sort of reset to square one (this season's square one, that is)? He's back to looking for Tim, who may or may not remember anything about their alliance, and he doesn't even have the medical records to show for his trouble. I'm not complaining; I'm just a little surprised that nobody's been lamenting the regression.

On Alex's return: It's not like it's a surprise that he's alive, given "Decay," but it's nice to have real confirmation, anyway (barring a twist). My first question was this: was Alex around the tunnel prior to the guys showing up, at which time he was alerted to their presence, or was he tracking the guys for a longer time, maybe even before Rosswood, only intervening when they got to the tunnel? That could be a significant distinction.

His call does tell us one more (perhaps too obvious) thing about Alex: he's currently in a mental state that allows him to dial a phone and put asentence together. Whatever's going on, he's not a feral thug, like Masky seems to be.

As a very, very minor point on the Hut, I still don't know why Tim assumes that there's something important there. I'm willing to just go with it at this point, since the writers are playing it that way, but I still think it's a big assumption. Tim even said they were "dropped off," which he thought made it obvious that there was something important there, but I think the opposite. If you've kidnapped somebody and done whatever you're going to do to them, wouldn't you "drop them off" at the least significant location you can think of? The guys are assuming that Hoody wants to communicate something, rather than just getting them to work together. I guess that's an assumption we should just accept at this point.

They were playing it as if the Hut was missing, but Tim also admitted that he was just guessing at its location. I don't know what to make of this, yet, but it may tie in with my view of teleportation, below.

On teleportation: I've always been hesitant about teleportation theories. If the videos in question really have any supernatural explanations at all, I've always been more comfortable thinking of things more in terms of alien geometry rather than "normal" teleportation, though I suppose that could still be construed as teleportation in a broad sense. I'm suggesting that the Operator doesn't just blink around the world. Instead, the paths he takes are incomprehensible to us. I think that this may be what happened to Jay at the end of the entry. Maybe the path he took was supernaturally longer than it should have been - that is, if Jay wasn't just running in panicked circles. Similarly, Tim's path may have been shorter; he was with the Operator, after all.

When it comes to Tim's camera, for some reason I get the feeling we won't see the footage until after Tim dies (or disappears). Having the footage, but not the person who took it would make things even more creepy and tantalising than having both.

There could be a twist with Alex's phone call. What if he is dead after all and someone sampled his voice? After all, it was only two words, and totheark has played Alex's voicemail before, as well as taking audio from the entries. He definitely said "Now" in Entry #42 (2:07), but I don't think he ever says "Leave" in the videos.

Edit: It's a shame we didn't see the chimneys from Entry #40. They were so cool.

The last time a camera came into very close proximity to TO, it stopped working for good. I doubt we'll get anything good off of it.
