Oh, on the subject of Twin Peaks, I think it's important to remember that there are three worlds in the show. The Material Plane, the Black Lodge, and the White Lodge. We've been talking about the Sanctuary being a part of the Candleverse, but perhaps Corenthal's little demi plane is sort of like their White Lodge: completely separate from the other realities.
Although lately I've been thinking that our universe and theirs are separate too, seeing as we've become unable to affect the plot.

Wether or not HABIT has lied isn't an indicator - he is unreliable because he is a megalomaniac. He brags and continuously comments on how powerful and horrible he is - if he'd really be, he'd be much more powerful than he already is.

Look at the bits I wrote earlier on: is he satan? I doubt it, for, as we saw, he needs a physical body to exist. Is he a demon? Possible, which would explain his longevity and his inHABITation. But he cannot be at all places at the same time. He cannot be in our universe AND in "their" (the EMH) universe. Everything he has taken credit for in our universe (Arab Spring and "It's OK.") are likely fabrications. Every bit of info we gathered through the chests has his seal (the purple tape) on it.

Why would he pass us information?
Why is he interested in killing the MT4?
Why is he doing evil stuff?
Why the breeding program?
Why the off-showing?
Why did he get involved with the faker during the trials?
Why DOES he do the trials?

HABIT is an arrogant entity. He wants us to think whatever he says is true, which is why it's hard to find obvious lies. Still, most info we get comes right from the mouth of the universe's central villain... why should we deem him reliable?

If you dismiss everything Habit says as lies, all of these theories become rather pointless, because sooner or later, they all have an important root in something Habit said or provided.

I don't trust Habs in the slightest. It's pretty obvious that whatever it is that he's doing is less about the guys and more about us.

That said, it's not like we have any other source of information here. Pretty much everything we know about the Fairmount gang and Dr. C is because of Habit.

Actually scratch that last question. Something on here reminded me of the unreliable narrator mentioned in the videos and the clue that gave us the password for that minecraft map. If i recall correctly there was a video that tried to label jeff as an unreliable narrator or something, but it seems to me with all this discussion about if we can trust habit or what he tells us, HABIT is the unreliable narrator, not any of the EMH boys

I agree with you somewhat Ouroboros that we have to trust at least some of what HABIT has told us because hes our only source of information about alot of things, and while it wouldnt be beyond HABIT, whatever he is, to forge the corenthal documents I can find no evidence to contradict or disprove them at this time, and other documents found by vinny in the property and by jeff very early on seem to corroberate what the corenthal documents say, assuming they werent planted there. So basically i think we can trust the documented letters about Fairmount and the Dr, but perhaps HABIT is misleading us in other ways, because lets face it, right now is the narrator of the EMH story.
