[PUZZLE - SOLVED] Rendezvous Schedule Okay you guys, we've missed two rendezvous in a row, we need to get our acts together Treebiter and Browsin in chat yesterday had the idea of stickying the rendezvous schedule and changing the subject line every day to say who was next. So here it is!
Quote:
10,12,2004 leoboomer
10,13,2004 greyelf
10,14,2004 treebiter99
10,21,2004 hitshermark
10,22,2004 colinlaney
10,23,2004 leoboomer
10,24,2004 hitshermark
I'll update as and when more people get added to the schedule and change the subject to reflect who is next up.
EDIT - Rendezvous are back on!

No worries Varin, not your fault. It seems CC32 only comes on for a short window at midnight EST or so? (Correct me if I'm wrong here guys) and is away the rest of the time. Which is a pain.

Well, it's on now, which is about 9:00 Pacific Time. Pity I'm not scheduled.

10,22,2004 colinlaney
10,23,2004 thomas.baker
If anyone knows who colinlaney or thomas.baker is, could you please notify them via email/chat/etc that they have an upcoming rendezvous please?

does *anybody* know what time it is? Hey, that's OK -- I almost automatically compute time in terms of PDT now.. and I live in New York so it means completely unneeded adding and subtracting.

Looks like you're back up HitsHerMark and Thomas.Baker has changed to Leoboomer. Thanks for the last minute change in lineup PM's. Anyone who can, please let Leoboomer know he/she (? sorry ?) has a "Date" tonight at 12:00am EST.

Yo people we missed him last night.
He was in the unfiction chan didnt see him try the immersion one.
This probably means all rendezvous will be carried out there and hopefully we solve this thing at more regular pace.

The rendezvous are over, but I think there is still one more thing left to this page.
The cell phone at the top leads me to believe that we are supposed to take the interpretations and come up with a phone number. During one of the conversations we were told (by Stevens IIRC) that correct answers would help us and incorrect answers would hinder us, I think that same idea is being conveyed with the GIGO quote.
Thus stripping out the obvious failures, we have the following interpretations remaining. (Because of the phone I will also put what they corespond to on a phone.)
5
Q (not on the phone, may be 1, 7, *, or # depending on the phone.)
G ( 4 ) (may be false)
0
5
H ( 4 )
3
D ( 3 )
Y ( 9 )
8
J ( 5 )
T ( 8 )
Right now I'm leanning toward Q being a 7 (looking at the phone picture, I think that's the way it is on the phone) and the G being garbage because 570 is a PA area code. This would leave us with 8 numbers to make a 7 digit number out of and -- if you considering the last three to be correct -- we only have 5 different numbers to try. (Well, only if you agree with all the assumptions that I have made so far.)
[Edit] I was told in chat that treebiter99 had already called these numbers with no apparent luck.

From the 10/28 chat:
Quote:
<G3N3SIS> What the purpose of the rendezvous program?
<Mercurious> Um... Roberts?
<Mercurious> Roberts: All I got is that my creator told me it can help break apocalypse.
<Mercurious> Roberts: And to understand it, you must be correct and shift yourself to understand.
Using the correct rendezvous answers and doing the standard PG-style keyboard shift yields this:
Code:
Clue: 5Q05H3DY8JT
Shift: TAOTNECHIMG
That's not the answer, but I think it's a step in the right direction.
Doing a ROT-IT on TAO... yields no results.
Perhaps it's an anagram?

Unscramble it a bit and you get "Tao Te Ching" plus a left over "M"...
The Tao Te Ching is a book of Chinese Philosophy.
Tao is pronounced "Dao"... As in the Tao of Pooh , without which I never would have passed that class.
I have a copy of Tao Speaks around here somewhere...
