It's possible that the Ark is some kind of appropriately named vessel or container or macguffin that allows one to safely travel the way the Operator does without his "help". If hoody IS well intentioned but an ends justify the means kind of guy, he could be after it to get to where Big O has taken his victims?

After all, Arks travel on water, and apparently to get to Opa's territory he drags you through water.

In case this hasn't been brought up yet: Tim's camera showed tearing in the barn and tunnel, but Jay's didn't.

I have to give my approval to the idea that Tim was in the hospital at some point in his life, and was hallucinating some terrible event from his past in that room. Having rewatched it a couple of times, that seems to be a very strong argument.

NOW ONTO CRAZED SPECULATION!

If one accepts the theory that the the 'it' that came from behind that door in the room was the Operator... perhaps the asylum was the Operator's private feeding grounds? Mentally ill people go in, the Operator torments them by stalking them (in a place where nobody would believe you if you had seen him, no less) - and when they finally lose their minds completely, he takes them.

That gravy train ended when the hospital burned down of course. How did the blaze begin? Perhaps a patient did it, a patient who later escaped... Tim, perhaps? And with the hospital destroyed, the Operator had no choice but to leave and start feeding elsewhere, by stalking our protagonists, and using intermediaries like Alex to do his dirty work for him.... or maybe the hospital staff were all Oppy's servants from the beginning, and they kept the patients trapped there under a facade of being a legitimate hospital.

How's THAT for nightmare fuel?

Wow! My favourite entry ever. Totally amazing and horrifying. You know sh*t is getting real when TTA entries start making sense. Speaking of which, I think it might be worth re-watching some TTA stuff now.

Any kid going through that would end up damaged. It's no wonder that Tim is mentally unwell and Alex is a cold hearted killer.

Thought it might be worth posting the definition of Ark at this stage:
1. often Ark Bible The chest containing the Ten Commandments written on stone tablets, carried by the Hebrews during their desert wanderings. Also called Ark of the Covenant.
2. often Ark Judaism The Holy Ark.
3. Bible The boat built by Noah for survival during the Flood.
4. Nautical A large, commodious boat.
5. A shelter or refuge.

Either the shelter/refuge definition or boat for survival during the flood could make sense now. It's something to think about.

I don't see why people think the body was bruce's. I mean it obviously doesn't have the same body type.

I would rather say that the body is of the bearded guy that Alex killed. He has the same body type + his head seems to be pretty fucked up. (because alex smashed it with a rock).

That IS Bruce. Bruce is the nickname people gave to rock-tunnel-guy. I imagine that you're thinking of Brian.

Now I'm just imagining Slendy walking out of the doors, walking over to Tim, leaning down, and saying "You can trust me. I'm a doctor." in a demonic voice.

Nice try but i think ''Operator'' refers a lot more to cellphones, and comunications. Tim has never mentioned nothing about an operation room or an operator before. Not even as Masky

I noted that because someone pointed out the doors Tim was pointing tooo looked like the doors to an operating room.

Whew, after a second watching and actually time to reply properly, here we go! First of all, amazing entry, obviously.

At this point I think Tim is dead. I don't know anything about the pills, so I'm assuming an overdose might lead to liver or kidney failure over the period of a few days. (if they're for a psychiatric disorder, an overdose might not be fatal?) Anyway, he took them on camera, he showed Jay where to go in the hospital, he made sure the camera wouldn't play until Jay recharged the batteries, then he made an excuse about his job to get far away from Jay. The footage in the hospital would then be a suicide note. On seeing this and trying to get in touch Jay probably felt quite shocked and guilty, which would explain (in universe) the long wait and the lack of text in the video. Also putting Tim's voice message in there instead of some text is quite suggestive of suicide, since it's more personal.

Tim has had a long history of "mental health" issues (he could have been sane and actually seen the operator, but it got brushed off as mental illness) so I think it's fair to say that the hospital was a mental hospital of some kind. His medical notes implied he was put there against his will, didn't they? He was monitored while he slept, needed a night light, only got four hours sleep each night, attempted to escape (or was slendernapped) etc. Given that in real life it was a mental institute/asylum then the setting is exactly what we'd expect. So my thoughts are he went back there, had some flashbacks, told Jay where to look, then OD'd. Then while he still had time he got to Jay to tell him to go to the hospital. When he met with Jay he looked physically uncomfortable.

Unrelated to this: The view of the barn that appears at around 1:54 could not have been taken by Tim in Entry #64, because he never went to that part of the barn. Someone else must have taken this footage, and they took it with the chestcam (the beams are distorted by the wide angle lens) rather than editing it in somehow. Or it's a continuity error.

The tree at 2:36 reminds me a lot of the tree in Entry #38 where Alex just says "Come here" with no explanation, as if he wants Jay to stand where the operator can just grab him. Or maybe the tree in Entry #64 where Jay stops and looks around. The video is silent there, so maybe Jay heard an "echo" of Tim screaming, in the same way that he heard an "echo" of Alex saying "Seth" when he looked at the pipes at 6:30 in Entry #23. Okay, a lot of trees look the same from below! Still, if we can identify this tree as being one we have seen before we could learn something new.

Jay mentioned that his camera stopped working after Entry #23. Could this be because it's water damaged? The chestcam is the only waterproof camera, which could be why Alex got it in the first place.

I've attached a few screenshots to show the barn from the chestcam's point of view (which Tim did not get in Entry #64), and the various trees for comparison.

Ok so just personal opinion, after this entry I'm pretty convinced the operator doesn't have any actual motivation. He just tortures people for some form of personal pleasure.

Really surprised no one mentioned this... but coughing, choking, drowning are all things that happen to people messed with by the operator. I'm pretty sure this entry just told us what slendy sickness was. Maybe slendy can't completely teleport you right off the bat. When he attempts to the first few times you feel as though you're in the water but not actually there. Causing you to cough and feel like you're drowning, even though you were never fully teleported into the water yet. He teleports people into water first because he knows it will have this reaction, allowing him to torture people at least a little before being able to completely screw with them.
