That gravy train ended when the hospital burned down of course. How did the blaze begin? Perhaps a patient did it, a patient who later escaped... Tim, perhaps? And with the hospital destroyed, the Operator had no choice but to leave and start feeding elsewhere, by stalking our protagonists, and using intermediaries like Alex to do his dirty work for him.... or maybe the hospital staff were all Oppy's servants from the beginning, and they kept the patients trapped there under a facade of being a legitimate hospital.

The same person who burned down Jay's apartment.

Seriously, "you have to come see it yourself" is an impossibly crappy excuse under more or less any circumstances. There's no reason to wait until someone is in the physical presence of the thing you want to show them before attempting an explanation or a description of it unless you want to surprise them with something, and in this sort of situation nobody's going to spring a nice surprise on you.

My first thought when Tim said that was that he didn't necessarily remember the events of what happened, but he remembered that there was something important he needed to show Jay. Like, maybe he doesn't know what it is yet either, but he feels that if he goes back in a clearer state of mind, he'll be able to show him.

For example, Tim didn't appear to remember Slendy at all in #15, and the people who encounter him remember very little about the encounters, but they still remember that they should fear him and run.

Or remember how Jessica said Jay's name sounded familiar after having her memory Slendy-wiped? Same situation. They can remember the feelings of things, not the events.

I cannot deny that there is a strange similarity between the way Tim is approaching Jay about going to the hospital again, and Alex's little trip to the shed. This series does not have a good track record of people saying "There's something you need to see that I can't talk about."

However, both Tim and Alex know that Jay puts these videos on the internet. I can't remember what entry but Alex does make a snarky comment about Jay's uploading habits. So maybe Tim is holding off on telling Jay anything because he knows TTA is watching.

I suspect that we won't get any tweet that says "Going to the hospital now." I predict a long and uncomfortable silence.

If you go frame by frame through the part where Tim is lying in the tunnel and TO is visible in the corner, you can notice TO moving slightly, as if swinging left and right or perhaps approaching slowly.

Maybe this is just a conincidence, filming glitch or something, but it seems to me it might as well be intentional, because at first he does not move at all and then he starts to move like this. Or am I trying too hard?

Has TO been seen actually moving ever before?

Also, is TO dragging Tim later on? If so, I suppose he does
move more or less normally after all. The only other explanation would be he uses some kind of a force (sounds overcomplicated to me) or somebody else is dragging Tim. But who could that be?

TO used to walk in some of the earlier entries. In entry 4 he strode off screen and in entry 14 he walked into Alex's room in full view of the camera. But I think that was the last time we ever saw him "walk" normally.

He actually moves many times throughout the series and in a couple of totheark videos. Entry #1 (if you count his head turning), Entry #4, Entry #6, Entry #14, Entry #40, Return, and Admission (although I was never sure if that was actually him in that video) off the top of my head.

I know he's moved but I was only trying to recall entries where we actually see him move his legs and "walk" instead of just appearing or doing his "stop motion walk" like in return. If he can walk that would indicate he actually has the ability to drag a person along like that.

I really, really think the Operator is a proxy that can make more proxies. The Operator is a sort of creature, controlled by a much more sinister force (Korrok?) in the Dark World. The reason there haven't been more clues about this twist is because it's a surprise twist ending, but unlike Sarah being ToTheArk, this one is GOOD. The Operator is being operated by something from the other side, like a proxy, but he can make proxies of his own. In the Dark World, the Operator is simply an aquatic creature that moves through that dimension's seas, hence the water-- but whatever or whoever is controlling him (Korrok?) has dressed the creature up in a business suit and is parading it around, making it scare people. People like Tim, Alex and Jay.

Oh, someone mentioned earlier that the "screenshot" Troy tweeted ended up not being in the video. I think it may have been one last hint about The Operator's true powers, as well as an indication that the water serves more purpose than just uncomfortably escorting people to and from TO's chill zone. Or it was just an unused shot of Tim looking at a lake he was drowning in or something.

Was I seeing some teleportation in the first four minutes. Most noticably when the first time he is in the water and it kinda flows right into him walking (might have been just him doing exactly that) and when he's laying down and breathing under the canopy and then fwooosh clear skies parking lot.

Dude, that's the freaking Tall Man, played by the brilliant Angus Scrimm-- everything the Operator has ever done, the Tall Man's the guy who came up with it. He's the original Operator. Children check underneath their beds for the bogeyman. The bogeyman checks underneath his bed for the Slender Man. The Slender Man checks underneath his bed for ANGUS SCRIMM. Seriously, check this out-- it's a bunch of clips from the "Phantasm" movies, which feature the Tall Man. He's very similar to the Operator, right down to the name-- he operates on people, turning them into proxies...
