Finally, my idea for how the finale (whenever it happens) will play out:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Everyone except for one person will die. Maybe Alex lives, maybe Jessica. Who knows, maybe Brian is still alive in Virginia somewhere. Someone is going to have to upload that last entry, but I don't think it will be Jay. Though it will probably also contain a clip of driving during the day.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
(Tim and Jay in a panic)
Jay: Tim, I just want you to know that if I die and you survive, you need to take my camera and upload the footage.

Tim: What? How?!

Jay: On the internet! MarbleHornets!

Tim: But don't I need a password?

Jay: Yes, Tim! The password is (Password removed)!

Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster here.

I'm not sure if this has been brought up - I've browsed this thread and could have missed it - but is it just me, or is the watery hole Tim climbs out of at about the 3:20 mark the same rabbit hole from Entry #21? The static-causing one Jay looked at briefly and was never, ever brought up again? I did a side-by-side comparison and the surroundings of both areas look the same, right down to the tree-branch Tim grabs on to pull himself out.

I saw that too, I think it is supposed to be the same hole. But did some idiot really dig up that hole OOG to see if it was really " haunted" or something? Wasn't someone, possibly pravado, saying that? So could it really be the same hole? Regardless, I think that may have been the reason for the weird, unexplained distortion from it, at least it's a good explanation for it in my eyes.

That was me talking about the Static Hole, and yes, someone filmed themselves digging it up to prove that a fictional series isn't real. People on the Internet make for good entertainment. Razz

Anyways, I don't think it's the Static Hole in this video. I'm guessing it's just random distortiony stuff from all the Operator exposure.

I'm new here and all, so I hope this is the right board to post this and that I'm not digging up old ghosts....

...I was re-watching the series and making up a small timeline and from what I can guess Entry 5 is the first one in the timeline (after 37). No one can seem to find TO in this entry, but distortion still occurs. I'm wondering if we put the distortion through the same kind of software people use to decode the TTA videos maybe something could be found?

Probably not, though. Either way I'm just really stuck on the idea that there is something early in the timeline that will help us figure out whats going on in the present.

But what IS the Static Hole? Just an Easter egg?

Can I have a link to that video?

Great, so at this rate the series will end sometime around the year 2030.

Maybe not. On average, it takes on month for each entry to be uploaded. Entry #78 will be complete in a little over a year at this rate.

What's all this about Entry 78? Will it be the last one?

The Season III Finale.

Wrong. They have stated that seasons 1 and 2 both having 26 entries was a coincidence, and that they will make as many episodes as it takes, either more or less.

EDIT: I see that you are aware of this now.

Just throwing this out there, but what if Tim is not really talking about getting in touch with his boss at his job, and instead he needs to get ahold of his "boss" Hoody? TTA seems to always be one step ( or more ) ahead of things. I haven't really thought that out, it just came to me.

From a storytelling standpoint I can't see why Troseph would have Tim go back to being an antagonist after taking so much time this season developing his character more and trying to show him in a more sympathetic light. (In contrast to season 1 and 2 where all we saw was him being menacing and creepy). It just seems like having Tim betray Jay now would be a huge step backward. Also, in entry 59 Tim made it sound like keeping a job has been a real struggle for him for a long time, so I think it's natural he'd be concerned about whether or not he still has a source of income. (This is especially important since according to entry 53 he's in school right now, so he needs money to pay for books + tuition). I really don't think Tim is up to no good.

This is what I thought too. Also, they already used the betrayal plot point with Alex, and I don't think it would happen again.

How about a Jay betrayal?

Oh, I don't think Tim was up to no good either, he was so forlorn and sad and resigned sounding at the end. I just had a thought , and shared :~)
Another thought I had was about how Display has Jessica's face by the tunnel, did she go underwater like Tim did and not make it out again? None of my Jessica questions were answered in this entry, so what was the significance of her face in Display, was it just to rattle Jay's cage, or what?!?

Maybe we'll see her in another entry soon.

Maybe the next entry? What if Jessica is behind the door in the hospital?

An interesting idea, but I'm having trouble seeing it. I looked at the two videos side by side and it looks like there's a much bigger root structure in Entry #65 than in Entry #21. Am I looking at the wrong thing?

Maybe not. After all, Tim was taken in Rosswood. The Static Hole is in another forest, right?
