Lt. The_Jinx, reporting

Hey guys, figured I'd go ahead and finally post here now that I had some level of interaction going. I'm not going to be able to reach any of the axons in the San Marcos areas, but I do have a private call coming at 13:25 PST. I'm listed as the_jinx, Lt. Since it'll be on my cell, I plan on being online to help with whatever passwords and codes might be needed for other axon hunters. If anybody needs a hand, don't hesitate to ask. I'm frequently in #beekeepers, so if I'm not here, I'm there.

If it's a show up in the middle of the day for ten minutes type thing, shouldn't be a problem.

Speak of the devil...

This one axon is listed at 1100, 1105, 1120, 1245, 1250, 1315, 1320, 1325, and 1335. Nine times in three and a half hours. And I get a personal one on my cell phone at 1205.

Now to sell this to the wife. Cool

DC has 5 groups of 10 calls at the same minute at Union Station, plus 12 single earlier calls across the morning.

Two other major clumps which suggest to me we should focus on getting these calls - 4 in 40 minutes at Ballston; 4or 5 in 30 minutes at the Smithsonian metro, 3 at the long-screwed-up phone at 13th&Jefferson, 3 at Spout Run.

EDIT-And according to this link, I spelled Daylight Saving Time WRONG! Smile [/strike]

If daylight savings time ENDS at 2:AM, we're all resetting our clocks before the axons start ringing, but it should still be a 3 hour difference for EST, for example, yes?

And are we pushing them forward or back?

"Spring forward, fall back."

If your area participates, set your clock back one hour.

DST

The places that do not observe Daylight Savings Time the majority of Arizona (only the NE corner follows DST) and Eastern Indiana (only like a county on the west side participates in DST). So if you're from one of those states, doublecheck if you follow DST or not.

For example, right now the majority of Arizona matches PDT time. On Sunday, all of Arizona will then align with MST time. Same with Indiana, only that it's currently CDT and will become EST.

So, doublecheck if you want to grab an Arizonan or Indianan axon if they're in the DST-free zones.

axons axons everywhere!

Yeah, same here. 9 calls to the West Palm Beach, FL axon and another to my cell.

Something tells me that all this might be some huge scavenger hunt or something. Perhaps directions are given to everyone at 11PST (perhaps on how to save the SP?). Then if everything works out as it should, perhaps we: 1) Merge Melissa/Durga/SP/whatever into one AI 2) Launch Melissa back to her time, or 3) Put the SP back together to meet Kamal?

All Speculation, but I'm willing to bet one of those three will occur.

Alright, I take it back. I'm not going to be able to help coordinate online on Sunday. I have 9 calls as well, so I'm going to be busy busy busy answering those phones!

I can handle all the ones at Union Station in Dallas, but the ones going to the Visitor Center down the street will be out of luck, as it's closed on Sundays. I'm gonna try to wrangle the wife into hitting the Target at 12:35 PST. And I've got one coming to my cell again at 12:05. Of course, I'm hoping that they're only looking for 1 Axon per wav to make this work, seeing as how it looks like it's our last day and all.

Weephun, how about me, you, and Mad Cow head down to the Kopper Kitchen and activate all of those, then head over to Pizza Hut. Since the last Pizza Hut axon is 5 minutes before one at the Double Tree, we thought maybe you should leave early and go to the Double Tree alone at first, then after Cow and I finish the ones at Pizza Hut, we'll go down to the Double Tree to help you out...sound good?

Very condensed time window for Sunday. Way more calls.

MANY people will be answering "early" phones with no info about what question/task might be going on.

Those members/players who cannot get to axons are even more critical this week, because those of us with axons have a LOT of them, all crammed into a 3 hour window. Like 94 of them in DC. (Mostly blocks of ten calls at the same time at Union Station).

If there is coordinating to be done, we're going to have to rely on folks in the forums and watching the websites for help!
