But WHY? What is the PURPOSE of the crossover? It still sounds like a crossover for the sake of having a crossover, which is, like I said, the wrong reason entirely. If it's just going to be something gratuitous like that, it'll probably add absolutely nothing to your series.

Exactly.

The right reason to do a crossover is to mooch extra subscribers from someone else's efforts.

I definitely agree that this looks like an attempt at getting more views. Although, that's not always a terrible thing. Back in February, myself and a few other people all crashed together in Chicago, and made a few amazing crossovers out of sheer "meh, why not?"-ness. However, we made sure ahead of time that all our series went together really well, and managed to make a web of awesome that was really fun and made a lot of sense. We also had a really fun time getting stepped on by a puppy and eating Mostaciolli, so I can understand the wanting to meet up with other people from the verse. It's generally a pretty fun thing to do.

I can sort of understand the desire to set up a crossover early on, so that it doesn't look tacked on and you don't have completely different Slendyrules in each universe. But that's probably something to do with someone you know. A group of Slvlogs that started around the same time and made a conscious effort to occupy the same universe could be kinda cool I guess. I don't know how much people worry about that stuff.
