Here's my translation of the message on Andrew's journal based on this website: http://www.sacred-texts.com/pag/enoch1.txt

It makes a bit more sense using this dictionary.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
This mystery brings the truth you are looking for. It brings secrets you can triumph with.

So where to from here? I have emailed Andrew and asked him what specific book this was written on, maybe that is another clue.

So it's a complete coincidence that the word "icicle" is embedded in the text? Weird. So much for that time I spent assuming it was encrypted.

This was the email Andrew sent me:
Quote:
Kender,

I appreciate your sharing this information with me. I was not aware of the name of the language or it's translation. The Historical Society was not able to give me any information about those particular books except their titles and that they are believed to be one-of-a-kind. I also did not know that you spoke (or read) this Enochian. Since you are able to translate this Enochian I may be able to use your help. Months back a book was left at my door in an envelope. I turned the book over to a friend of mine, Marcus Brody, who is a historian and consulted with me on the Ardmur case. But with that book there was a small note. I made an entry about it on my internet journal, though I am wary about releasing my journal to just anyone. However it seems I am in need of some research help, and so, if you are able to find my secret journal then I will know you are a true researcher.

The Ardmur case, however, is closed. All that is left to do is attempt to find the remaining volumes. The ones which remain on the list of missing books I doubt many of them will be yet found as there are no leads as to their location and only the titles to go on.

Dear Andrew,

First of all thank you for sharing your diary with me. It shows you trust me. That is good.
Let me repay that trust by giving you the translation of the message on the note you found:
Literaly it states something like (sorry, enochian is a dead language that not everyone agrees on)
"this 'the mysteries' brings forth first have you are look for. 'it/also' bring down 'truth/the secrets of' you can triumphs on all."

I think that in this context it might mean: "This mystery gives you the first you have been looking for. It gives you the information to succeed with them all."

Maybe the Ardmur case is not as closed as you think, it certainly looks like someone is telling you to keep looking. There may be more to the 'strange' books than a simple case of theft.

Did your friend Marcus turn up any new information on the book that accompanied the note?
Perhaps you know the title?

Maybe the closure of that bookstore was not coincidental at all, and there is something more sinister going on.
This could even be related to the Tranquil Valley Halloween 'stories' and perhaps even tie in with the disappearance of Anne Fisher, although at this point I cannot see how.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with. The Ardmur case and Tranquil Valley have piqued my interest.

Kind regards,

Kender

Hello,

I was wondering if your police department might have an email address
or some on-line way of contacting them as its easier for me to email
someone then phone them at the moment.

Thanks,

Dear Norville,

I'm sorry about taking so long to e-mail you back, but we've been flooded

helps you out.

Tranquily Yours,

First post here; I decided to join this ARG at the start. Just got a reply from the TV visitor email; usual 'check out Ardmur' stuff. I'm waiting for a reply from Andrew; any other places I should check out as of now?

If no one noticed yet, http://www.tranquilpolice.org/index.php has an officer's login.

I'm going to email them and see if I can't get access to it. Never hurts to try the simplest route, no?

EDIT: Here's what I sent:

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have followed your town with increasing interest. I find it the
perfect place for a change from the city of Dever, at which I
currently work. As a commended 3 year veteran of the force, I would
make a valid addition to your team.

I am aware that you are currently seeking a Deputy Officer. I believe
that my qualifications (graduate of the University of Miami, vision
20/30, U.S. Citizen, 27 years of age, possess a driver's license etc
), meet and surpass the recommended ones. My specialization in Private
Detective work with a focus on Missing Persons further increases my
value to your community. Please take this into consideration during
your selection process.

Thank you very much,

~Officer Badme

I can only see that working if Barney Fife is answering the e-mails.

I also tried the same strategy. No reply yet.

One of the pages actually states that a Deputy Officer position is available, so you never know. I doubt that it'll be as simple as an email, but you never know.

Hey, Vincent Price and Art Bell are police officers in Tranquil Valley, guess horror movies and radio gigs weren't working out for them.

Wasn't Marcus Brody the curator of the museum in the Indiana Jones movies?

Login try

I sent this to our dear friend Andrew:

Andrew - I am trying to uncover whatever I can. I was wondering if you still had access to
http://www.tranquilpolice.org/login.php being that you served with them as a detective for two years?

There may be some information they are trying to hide from public hysteria, especially with the recent animalistic rituals.

a friend.

Well, I got a reply from the administration, but it wasn't exactly much. Just the usual 'we'll forward your application to the chief of police'.
