Much happier ending ..... oh, man, now that makes me worry about Sunday
Why weephun?, to me that says Melissa is so much better off than before now that she is whole, even more so than when she was created.

It means Melissa is going home whole on Sunday.
I read it outloud and it made more sense, I don't think I have ever anticipated a Sunday like this.

I would think that it means that Melissa will no longer be fighting against Durga. she can see her reflection now. I think that we now have a fully functional AI on our hands just in time to help out in the attack on Chawla Base on sunday.

I'm glad I was helpful (well, my username was) in an indirect manner.

Yes, but this story always seems to go good news - bad news - good news - bad news - etc. I just really don't want any bad news on Sunday.

You know, after ILB, the next chapter of the story is just going to seem... well... so small...

Dana has access to the web server, now. I expect she already knows, if she is checking at all.

Question.
If Halsey walled off the Sp in the Labryinth then that means she was never intended to be a part of Melissa. So in fact Melissa WAS acting the way she would have prior to the wreck towards the end here.
And now that the SP is integrated into her it would make her act differently than she would have before. The question is how will it affect melissa who is now (as far as we know) the only AI to have accessed their hidden human side.
Oh and if Melissa and Durga are the same that means Melissa is at the end of her lifecycle as well(7yrs).... [spec] maybe accessing her human side can offset the effects of rampancy? [/spec]
