OK, I don't know, what does it mean, but opening the image from facebook account (better version as twitter userpic) I found in the section "Information/Comments" a star (*) as a comment. (I'm using IrfanView to watch images).

Ok I know its a random stab in the dark but i swear if you were to take both weird shapes and paste them together they definitely have a rectangular shape running through the middle.

Has anybody tried looking at the facebook profile picture/cover picture (the ones with the "*" comments) in a hex editor?

Same size image, same image...but one is about twice the size of the other. There's definitely something hidden in here.

Ehh, maybe it's just a resolution difference then. But in case anybody is curious, I tried extracting data out of that image using "finish" / "hsinif" as passwords, no luck. I'll keep playing around though.
