Yo!
New Guy Here

Wasn't too sure where to put this, but this seemed like the best place.

How's it going?

From UK.

Recently, after playing TSW End of Days ARG, I've been getting more and more interested in them. Google pointed me here, and the rest is history.

Just signed up for We Are Earthborne and Alt-Minds, and it seems I got a lot of catching up to do on Marble Hornets (started watching end of S1, didn't realise it was an ARG).

Given the time of year, Happy New Year, y'all!

You may find yourself disappointed in MH if you come in expecting a TRUE ARG. While they have some, minimal, audience interaction... it isn't an ARG in the way that the others you mention are.

Well, I come from following MH as just a show, so it's more of a pleasant surprise there's a bit more to it.

At the moment I'm struggling to play catch-up on We Are Earthborne. I'm hoping there'll be a new ARG I can follow from the start soon.

I wish we could make that distinction more clear to outsiders. Here is another example of someone not clear on what makes an ARG:
Quote:
A few months ago, while I was browsing r/nosleep, I came across r/Slender_Man. I was immediately drawn into the world of Marble Hornets and various other ARGs. I downloaded the Slender Man Mythos and lost myself in that wonderfully creepy and genuinely scary world for hours and then days and then weeks.

from Wil Wheaton's Blog -- but hey! He linked to us!

(later...)
Ah, but Wil Wheaton should remember what an ARG is -- he tried out Last Call Poker!

Here's a tip:
If you use the 'quote' button and look at his post in the reply form, you'll see the URL of the image which is embedded.

I've noticed that I cannot see embedded images sometimes when I am not logged in, so this tip only works for me on forums which allow guest replies.

Yeah, I did that....I was being lazy and wanted that image to actually appear in the thread. LOL!
