I think the code is non essential to the story, but divulges something really important. Usually it doesn't matter if we solve it or not, but they seem to be really stressing this one. I think it could have something to do with Jessica considering her appearance in the video.

I think a different approach is neede here...
Since there are exactly 26 numbers (or "pairs", if you will), it could be hypothesized that somehow they describe presence or even position of their respective letter in final message. Like here:

I get why you guys think the code is the key to getting the new entry, but I think Troy has priorities, frankly. I think he prioritizes just getting out the next actual episode over any totheark/Twitter shenanigans. totheark has never been so integral to the plot that it delays the next entry, nor has fan interaction ever been that integral. I just think he think the actual entries, as a series, are more important to him. He's basically said stuff like that. I think this is just kinda trying to keep us amused while he edits the entry together, which we know from experience takes a while. I could be wrong, but I just don't see Troy pulling one of these ARG update things considering how MH usually works, especially considering the wait we've already gone through.

What if the first digit is the letter it represents, and the distance of the second letter from it on a number line is the second letter it represents? For example, 79, being G, and then 9, being two away positively is I, and with 83 being H and C?

even mirrored, 72 doesn't follow the pattern. if these guys aren't used to running an ARG then i'm not sure they should be trying to give us "hints"

Edit: he corrected it, but 57 is in his pattern... didnt he mean 75?
