I'm starting to think that Troy just wants us to be entretained while we wait for the next entry. He is saying pretty evident things. The inverted pairs, the differences between the numbers... all of them are things we have already noticed, but they don't aproach us to the right response :S

Maybe 75 and 72 don't follow the pattern. They're just a mirrored version of the ones that do?

Sorry, only meant 57 with the previous tweet. 72 doesn't follow that pattern, even when reversed.

@MarbleHornets: I'm getting confused. Taking a break from this for a few hours. Tim let me know he's working on it too so hopefully he'll get something.

Jay seems really willing to crack the code.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
OOG: Troy is definitely noticing confusion on the code, so I guess he's having Jay solve it for us.

Seems counterintuitive for them to be encouraging totheark by playing along with his puzzles. Best way to decode the numbers is to set a bear trap in front of Tim's bedroom window and prepare to interrogate.

I really hope Troy learned from this

I don't get it. Tim said he has something to show Jay, and clearly has time to solve this puzzle why isn't Tim showing Jay the surprise already

Yes, this is strange...but they could "justify" it by telling they don't want to do anything without knowing the meaning of this because of the posibility of learning something important... or something like that.
Yes, I know it is a bad excuse :S

I really hope Jay doesn't solve this puzzle no one on here could so far. That would be by far the silliest thing to happen in the entire series, considering he hasn't exactly been portrayed as a super genius.

Tim solving it would also be dumb. At least, it would be dumb while he's supposedly so busy that he can't spare any time to go with Jay to the hospital.

Okay, if Tim, who is supposed to be busy working, is trying to solve the code, then they must think it says something important.

Clearly the only solution is for TTA to post another video in which Hoody sighs, gives the answer away, and berates us for being idiots. Razz

In fairness, Tim doesn't have to be constantly sitting at a computer to work this out. He could have the codes written down & be working on it at his lunch breaks.

I hear people talk about Jay's stupidity a lot, but I really don't see it.

I don't know how you couldn't, considering there is so much in-universe lampshading of it.

"Hey Jay, you forgot your flashlight."
"I was taking out the garbage. What could you possibly have found in that time?"
"You got lost in the woods you've never been in?"

He's not like too stupid to function, but I dare say the average person wouldn't make those mistakes. At the very least, the average Marble Hornets character doesn't seem to think they're justified.

Thinking about it, maybe we aren't supposed to crack the code at all. We need a key that we currently do not posses, and maybe Tim does? That could be an explanation, albeit a pretty not good one, but that's what it sounds like to me.

Judging by how seriously everyone's taking this code, and how hard it is to crack... it probably reveals at least one of the following...

The location of the Spear of Destiny.
What really happened to D.B. Cooper.
Where the passengers of the Mary Celeste went.
The etymology of the word "London."
The true identity of Jack the Ripper.
Who the author of Beowulf was.
Obama's real birth certificate.
The secret ingredients to Coca Cola.
And the meaning of life.

You forgot the gunman on the grassy knoll, and the location of Jimmy Hoffa.

Also Tim's secret fantasy.
