HOLY @$*&!!!! I can cover Reed, 46th & Woodstock, and my phone. It's exceedingly unlikely I can get 82nd.

Since Origen has Woodstock covered, that leaves about 3 areas (excluding Beaverton) in Portland that need covering; 23rd, Downtown, and SE 82nd.

I'll get 23rd as that's the most convenient for me. Cherry, if possible, do you think you could cover 82nd? You're the closest regular axon-grabber to that part of town that could make it.

So that leaves Downtown open, providing that Cherry can take 82nd. One person can (probably) cover the distance between the phones on foot, or at least cover them and still get to the majority of axons on time.

scully? ouroboros? vector? Space Bass? Bueller?

There's still less than an hour between the first call and the first one in Portland, so the wiki may not be updated with the question by then. Can someone call me with the question at about 12:00?

I could, theoretically, take 82nd.

Good God! Does anybody have a complete axon list? This could take a while... and I've got to do homework Sad

The only problem with 82nd is that I don't know my way around there... it's the only place that I'm not familiar with. It is, however, a bus ride away.

How about we set up a time to meet up on the forums and coordinate this? Say... Saturday, 2ish?

(edit: Another problem, of course, is that the buses barely run on Sundays. I'll get all the axons I can, but remember, it'll be a 1-2 hour lag for getting from place to place for me...)

82nd schedual:

12:25: Glencoe (Mini-mall)
12:45, 12:55: Lamphier (Mickey D's)
13:05, 13:15, 13:20, 13:30: Clackamas (Home of the Whopper)

Getting from the first location to the second shouldn't be that hard, given the amount of time, but I wouldn't dawdle, and you might consider forgoing listening to the full message. The second transition isn't that long a distance, but it does require crossing the road, so you might miss the 13:05 due to bad stoplight timing.

Okay! Here's a tentative list of who can take what.

Edit: I'll edit this list as necessary.

11:55 4th and Stark (jes5199)
12:00 Lovejoy (Archon), 6th and Oak (Vector)
12:10 Lovejoy (Archon), Reed College (Origen)
12:15 Reed College (Origen)
12:20 6th and Oak (Vector, jes5199), Reed College (Origen)

12:55 Se Lamphier and 82nd (^^^^^^^) (Cherry)
1:05 Nw 10th and Hoyt (Across from office building in a parking lot) (Vector, jes5199), 23rd and Glisan (Archon), and Se Clackamas and 82nd(Burger King) (Cherry)
1:15 Nw 10th and Hoyt (Vector, jes5199), 23rd and Glisan (Archon), Se Clackamas (Cherry)

2:10 23rd and Flanders (Archon), Se 46th and Woodstock (Origen)

(Non-Portland):

12:30 Beaverton at The Greenwood Inn
1:35 Beaverton at The Greenwood Inn

1:30 Eugene Valley River Blah Blah, you know the place.
2:00 Eugene
2:05 Eugene
2:10 Eugene

(PLEASE can somebody get these?)

Notes:

1) Archon, it's 6th and Oak, not Stark; it looks the same on MapQuest, of course, but I checked the coordinates and it's the same one we've been getting on Oak St.

2) On Tuesday I got the 6th and Oak axon and it was teh broken. The phone rang, but it would not recognize that I had picked up. Melissa tried about two or three times, it seemed, and there's even a little display that tells you when the phone is ringing, but I kept picking up and hanging up and pushing the little lever up and down and it never recognized anything. I contacted Melissa about this, saying that the axon has obviously been sabotaged by the Covenant, but she doesn't seem to have noticed. Waah!

2) I had to count 10th and Hoyt as downtown, meaning Vector's turf, because several times it rings simultaneously with an axon on 23rd.

3) I have to go from 82nd and Lamphier to 82nd and Clackamas in ten minutes. How far izzat? What direction? Anything I should know? (edit: nevermind, I didn't realize Origen had already answered this question)

4) Origen, you lucky duck! You wouldn't mind trading turfs, would you? I mean, you have a car... and you know 82nd better than I do...

That's all I can think of. If it turns out you can't take a certain space, then contact us immediately so that we can adjust the plan. Don't be afraid to take axons that somebody else already has; the more, the merrier, and it'll help to have backup in case somebody can't make an axon, or so that you can split up to take two axons that are close together in time. THANK YOU to all our lovely axon hunters! Because of you, we all have something fun to do every week. Hurrah!

Don't forget to contact Buzzkill and Angelo to help them with the axon coordination, especially if you want to know immediately what the question and anwer is.

so i guess that these are mine. I am a bit worried about makeing it between the 11:55 and 12:00 axons though.

11:55 4th and Stark (Vector)
12:00 6th and Oak (Vector)
12:20 6th and Oak (Vector)
12:30 6th and Oak (Vector)
1:05 Nw 10th and Hoyt (Across from office building in a parking lot) (Vector),
1:15 Nw 10th and Hoyt (Vector),
1:20 Nw 10th and Hoyt (Vector),
1:25 My Cell (Vector)
1:30 Nw 10th and Hoyt (Vector)

I was wondering who else was planning on showing up. Is Ouroboros still around? I also talked to SpaceBass on thursday and he was going to try to make it out.

:edit: maybe one of you can help with the 4th and Stark phone.

Say... other cities are having meetups at the end of the day so that we can share our stories. Does anybody else want to do this? Very Happy We could meet at Pioneer Square, at the statue of a guy with an umbrella, at 3:00, and I could bring Bee-licious Cookies or something.

(Feel free to suggest other times or locations, I just wanted to throw one out there. And feel free to say this whole idea is silly, I can take it Wink)

there seems to be plenty of action on 23rd ave, i'd be happy to be the backup beekeeper thereabouts

or, rather, i think it makes more sense for me to backup Archon.

Do you mean you'll be backing up Vector, downtown? I'll add you to the list. Thanks!

Edit: Err, what I meant to ask was, once you've gotten the 4th and Stark phone (thank you thank you) are you going to take the rest of the downtown phones along with Vector, or are you going up to 23rd to take those phones with Archon? Either way, it's great, I just want to know so I can update the list accordingly.
