In answer to your question, I would love to see some more parodies. Something like Marble Cutboys. But I think when the official Marble Hornets is over, it'll just be over. It's sad, really. I enjoyed this series.

Well, Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows is a guilty pleasure for me, but... yeah, I mean, I guess a spin-off or sequel is a stupid idea. I don't. I'm just shooting out ideas. A full series sitcom featuring Tim playing every character could be good, though. "Living With the Suttons!" This Friday on FOX.

This is a really good idea.

After watching Blair Witch 2, I was afraid to watch movies for a solid three months.

It's just so, so, so bad.

I think that the possibility of a sequel or expansion series is tied to what they end up telling us about the Operator. We don't yet know very much about it (which is also the root of most of the mysteries in the show). When the endgame comes, I like to think that they'll explain at least a little about the nature of the Operator; maybe just enough to explain why our guys were victimized.

Anyway, if it turns out that the Operator is a persistent, eternal entity that shows up every so often to terrorize a new set of victims, then maybe a new series could work, down the line. If, on the other hand, the Operator is a manifestation of Tim's mental issues, somehow, or if he's tied to a specific, one-time-only prophecy about an ark or something, then maybe it doesn't work. Verdict's out.

I hope that Marble Hornets ends here, but I think it would be cool if, in say a decade or so, the creators get together for a few drinks and say, "Hey, remember how much fun Marble Hornets was? We were kind of famous! We should totally expand that story!"

Hmm... What would they call that? Marble Hornets Forever? It is an interesting idea, that maybe in several years, after whatever finale they decide on, the surviving in-game characters begin to get stalked by either the Operator, an entirely new entity, like say... the Rake.

Oh for God's sake, there's enough original ideas floating around not to necessitate a sequel/remake! Everyone has to stop running crazy with this and just leave things alone, there's enough variations on a theme in the world as-is.

Maybe so. I think it'd be the Operator if anything, but it would be cool to see an older Jay suddenly have his own "Entry #26" experience, after years of thinking the ordeal was over. I happen to think that a sequel would work better if it was an entirely new cast (meaning that the current story should be well tied-up), but given the MH creative process and the limited resources they have, I'd expect any continuation to be limited to the small pool of actors that are currently involved, and few or no others.

But I imagine that any continuation would be many years off, and lots of things could happen between now and a time when their interest might rekindle. There's no telling where the guys might be living or what they might be doing 15 years from now. Point is, let's enjoy the coming end as THE end, because there is only a tiny chance that anything else will ever happen.

I do think that there will be a flurry of vlogs that attempt to tie themselves to MH after it ends. Attempted gamejacks, as it were. I wonder if the creators will bother with denouncing all of them.

I'd like to see a new Slenderseries that has a majority female cast, seeing as most others are sausage fests... I would picture it as being something like "Picnic at Hanging Rock" or "The Virgin Suicides", but that's just me. Razz

I'm not really into sequels (*especially* with something like MH), but I guess a spinoff could work... it just wouldn't interest me as much.

The Powers That Be have expressed interest in more spooky things after MH.

I really like this. Possibly more professionalized than most vlogs now, maybe in and out first and third person like OurGodEvil and such.

Interestingly, all the major Slenderman series appear to be approaching their finale. Maybe Tribe Twelve will be the last to finish, or Everymanhybrid considering the time each episode takes to release.

I think in a couple of years there won't be any new Slenderman stuff. Maybe with the release of Slender The Arrival it will last a bit longer, but the unfortunate reality is that Slenderman is just not scary anymore. The current series are finding new and creative ways to keep us hooked, but when they're done I can't imagine many people will be willing to invest in new series which are pretty much "the same old thing".

I doubt it. I think that a new group of series will rise to popularity to fill the void. It'll just take someone who isn't afraid to do something new.

If you had a sequel with new characters with a slight tie in, it will probably end up with Final Destination 2 which was pretty much the same movie with new characters. Pretty horrible imo.

Keratin Garden is a really good one that is almost entirely femalely cast.
