Is there a trick to picking which letter goes with each number? Either way, I think there's only one plausible way to arrange them and this solution satisfies me.

Actual working code.

I wanted to try it out Very Happy If you want, you can solve it.

That's what I got. I think one of us slightly screwed up, but I'm not sure who. XD
I really like this cypher though.

Edit: maybe it was:
jarefinallyfree
J are finally free
That still sounds a bit off though. =P

Edit 2: after numurous attempts of making an ass out of myself, I finally got it:
03 57 57 57 68 95 13 13 27 27 27 68 57 57 57
jw er er er fs iv an an ly ly ly fs er er er

We're finally free

I don't know how I got that 13 at the begining before.
Remember, kids: always check your math twice, no, THRICE.

My fault. "13" was supposed to be "57". But thanks for trying to solve it!

It's "werefinallyfree" meaning "We're finally free" from wracking our brains out trying to solve this.

Rock On

Yeah, this cipher is pretty fun to use though.

Ah, it all makes sense now. Lol
Thanks for making that anyways, it's a fun cypher (once you know how it works).

I feel like I missed something here. How did you figure out what letters to assign to what number pairs?

In the proper order, it goes alphabetically, with the alphabet split in half. So the first number in the pattern, 13, is A or N because A is the first letter of the first half, and N is the first letter of the second half of the alphabet. At least, that's what it looked like to me.

Wait, we solved it? What? I go away for four hours and come back and everybody knows what's going on?

Yes, we solved it.

It's a looping words-to-numbers thing with the order that Jay posted on Twitter.

Here:

Code:
 The letters:

13 24 35 46 57 68 79 83 95 03 15 27 39
an bo cp dq er fs gt hu iv jw kx ly mz

The codes:

79 75 83 27 72 72 24 83 75 68 13 83 27 79
gt re hu ly yl yl bo hu re fs an hu ly gt

with letters picked at random: trulyyourfault

68 83 57 68 24 83 79 79 83 57 75 57
fs hu er fs bo hu gt gt hu er re re

It's

79 83 95 68 95 68 13 79 57 68 79
gt hu iv fs iv fs an gt er fs gt
thisisatest
This is a test

That was a bit harder. Thanks. =D

I posted some of them on YouTube (making clear that it is a joke), but the weird thing is, nelord7000's comment started to gain likes after that. It's not my or nelord7000's fault that 16 other guys liked it disregarding disproof that I had posted, but someone even called him a dumbass. Whatever. Sorry about causing the distraction.

Really late here but I'm really sorry for calling you a dumbass Sad
I was getting really pissed off at all of the people who thought they had solved it but obviously hadn't, and all the youtube newbs getting tons of likes on their moronic theories. Ok. I'm getting pissed again XD
Anyways, glad your account was made!

Anyways I wish this thing would just be solved. I'm gonna start trying to determine which numbers could most likely represent which letter/s in my spare time.I have a ton of reading this topic catch up on :/

EDIT:
Ninja'd by a long shot XD
And the code is cracked by golly!
Finally, I can sleep peacefully at night, that is until the next entry....

That's how it looks to me as well. The pattern looks kind of weird (13, 24, 35, 46, 57, 68, 79, 83, 95, 03, 15, 27, 39), but it's the one Jay posted himself, and this "key" and cypher combo is a plausible one. We've even made a few messages based on it, and they seem to work.
I want to note that the mirrored pairs are exactly that; mirrored versions of the ones in the key (so 13 = an, 31 = na). They are probably there just to make the code look more complex.
I guess you could argue that you could have more than one message in the same code, but I think that seems cool; besides, there doesn't seem to be another message in any of the codes.

Also, this key won't work for the description. So should we assume that "continueon" was the right solution?
