Is there a trick to picking which letter goes with each number? Either way, I think there's only one plausible way to arrange them and this solution satisfies me.

I really like this cypher though.

It's "werefinallyfree" meaning "We're finally free" from wracking our brains out trying to solve this.

I feel like I missed something here. How did you figure out what letters to assign to what number pairs?

In the proper order, it goes alphabetically, with the alphabet split in half. So the first number in the pattern, 13, is A or N because A is the first letter of the first half, and N is the first letter of the second half of the alphabet. At least, that's what it looked like to me.

It's a looping words-to-numbers thing with the order that Jay posted on Twitter.

Anyways I wish this thing would just be solved. I'm gonna start trying to determine which numbers could most likely represent which letter/s in my spare time.I have a ton of reading this topic catch up on :/

That's how it looks to me as well. The pattern looks kind of weird (13, 24, 35, 46, 57, 68, 79, 83, 95, 03, 15, 27, 39), but it's the one Jay posted himself, and this "key" and cypher combo is a plausible one. We've even made a few messages based on it, and they seem to work.
I want to note that the mirrored pairs are exactly that; mirrored versions of the ones in the key (so 13 = an, 31 = na). They are probably there just to make the code look more complex.
I guess you could argue that you could have more than one message in the same code, but I think that seems cool; besides, there doesn't seem to be another message in any of the codes.

Also, this key won't work for the description. So should we assume that "continueon" was the right solution?
