But it -kind of- was. It was Alex doing something in real time in a present day entry, and it reaffirms that he's still up to stuff.

Was I the only one who thought it was possible that Alex was nearby and may have taken part in some Tim dragging?

That was filmed 2 weeks before Jay received the tape with the footage on it. It's the closest we have to a present day appearance though, unless you count the phone call in 64 (and that's still a bit iffy)

Joe has been on a major Marching Band kick this semester. People forget, he just transferred over to Alabama from LSU, even though Jay (and I think maybe Tim) have graduated already.

IG:
I think Alex has been laying low, letting Jay piece things together, but is prepared to interfere if/when Jay gets too close to whats really happening.

I'm predicting an Alex-Sighting in 66/whenever the hospital appears again.

After all, he did appear in the last TTA (along with ALEX IS SEARCHING FR YOU) so I'm sure he isn't toooo far off.

But if Alex really were searching for Jay, he would have been successful already. After all, "You're not exactly hard to find."

Maybe they're all on different plains of existence. Like, in Alex's reality, Jay is evil and in Jay's reality, Alex is evil and in Tim's reality, everything is made of flashing neon lights that cause him to have seizures.

I'm pretty sure they could have Joseph in an entry whenever they want. They wouldn't change the story because he isn't available...even though he probably is, just as much as Tim.

I'm sorry to revive this, but, has anyone tried cross-referencing what Jay was doing the day the tape was shot with the entry that was released on, around or filmed during that day? That could provide some clues, as crazy as it sounds...

According to the wiki timeline, the last entry before Alex's 4.4.2010 tape was shot, was Entry #25 (when Jay's old apartment was set on fire, just after he moved out of it).
Jay was also texted a number, on the same day that the 4.4.2010 video happens.

We don't know exactly when it happened, but Entry #25 was uploaded on March 24, 2010; so Jay's apartment burned down before Alex's video was shot. At this point, Jay was just moving around from place to place (presumably, hotels), and eventualy got the text on April 4.
