As far as Cork 'N Cleaver goes (or, for that matter, any of the non-ASU axons) who's coming? We need to get that together by tomorrow afternoon.

Cork and Cleaver may be a problem. I remember scouting the area on a saturday way back before the phones started ringing. I don't believe that they serve lunch on the weekend (I think they open at like 3 or something), and the waiting area (where the phone is located) is locked up. As that axon is scheduled for around noon, I fear that it may be inaccessible. Now, I could be wrong and Sunday's might be a different story. You might wanna check it out on saturday or give them a call to make sure.

Somewhat off the subject: I won't be able to partake in any of the Sunday madness as I will be in Cali. Sad In the event that you guys *do* get a live call on Sunday.... could you put in a good word for me? Either way, good luck and have fun!

Haha nice! Tony, we can probably get you a ride to Mills tomorrow morning if you wanna help out. Since it's (almost certainly) the last day of these things, you shouldn't miss it. Smile

Cork 'N Cleaver does not open on Sundays until 5 PM. ;____; saddoes

Oh well. If anyone wants to hit up Taco Bell after the ASU axons, let me know. Razz

Of course, this just makes us all eligible to hit up the Tolleson QuickTrip, which fires simultaneously with Cork 'N Cleaver's.

Not to be picky, but Tolleson's a Circle K at 91st Ave and Van Buren. Peoria's the Quik Trip at 91st Ave and Olive. You've got the cities with the right time on the list, but the addresses are flopped.

I should be able to get the Peoria axons. Good thing for that time change, if it was at 11, I'd still be in church. I'm considering the possibility of running down to AZ Mills after the first 3 calls. I'll have 85 minutes till the next one at the Peoria phone, and I don't think even I can entertain myself at a gas station for that long. I'm thinking I might be able to get from 91st and Olive to AZ Mills in 35 minutes if traffic is just awesome and I drive a little bit faster than I'm supposed to. Smile I'd be really pushing it though, so if we can get someone(s) else for the Mills axons, that'd be great. And even if I do get down there, 7 calls in two locations at the same time is just a little... you know... impossible for one person. Wink
And I'm planning on being there for the Feast. There are those pesky Tolleson calls though. I suppose if nobody else can make those I could get them.

In case you don't make it I will be there too at the Peoria and Tolleson axons plus I've got my personal call set for 1:05 our time. See you there.

You guys are awesome. All we need now are a few more people to cover AZ Mills banks and we're good. Although it's 1:30 lol so there shouldn't be that many more people I can rope in eh.

Bah, I haven't had access to a computer for 24 hours, so I just went down to ASU and walked around Wells Fargo Stadium, didn't see anything.

Just standard axon enhottenating, or is there something else going on?

Hey Finwicked:

Sorry that I didn't make it over to Tolleson this afternoon. I was back over at the hospital with my family. Every thing is okay now but a big chunk of my afternoon was taken. Just sitting here now listening to wav files.

By the way everbody involved in the Mills project today did great. I think you guys only missed 1 or 2 axons. Isn't that just the way it goes. We've got axon hunting down to an art and now its over.

Oh well. Reveal the truth! 11/04/04

Hey, priorities, man. Don't worry about it. I'm glad to hear everything's okay now. We had plenty of peeps over at Tolleson anyway. And if I had to guess, I'd say that the two Mills axons we missed were those two broken phones. Besides those two and the Cork 'n' Cleaver ones, it looks like we got every AZ axon that possibly could have been gotten. We r0x0r.

And it's not over yet, apparently. It seems the Seeker is using the Queen's old roads to !transmit the truth on Thursday. The contactme page was updated today with a new list of axons. It's a short list, so AZ only has 5 this time around, not counting personal calls. We have:

Cork 'n' Cleaver at 1:16
Peoria at 1:53
Tolleson at 2:09
AZ Mills by the theater at 2:34
AZ Mills elsewhere at 2:38

These are all AZ times, by the way. I think I should be able to take a long lunch and get any one of these. So whichever someone else can't get, I'll cover.

Whoa. I won't be able to be here (for obvious reasons) at those times, so if you guys can coordinate and send me whatever pertinent info is gleaned from those, that'd be awesome.

Who at ASU is willing to jump for any of those?

Okay, I get my personal call at 2:10 and I can either get Tolleson or Peoria but I don't think I can get both because the times are so close. Fenwicked, are you able to get one of them?

Hey is anyone going to Tucson to pick up their dvd at the Loews Catalina theater on Campbell at 7:00pm? I'm trying to arrange it so I can go but if I can't I might send my brother over there with the pass phrase since he lives in Tucson.

Just because I felt compelled to do it, not because Fenwicked didn't do a good job beforehand, but, to recruit & reiterate:

CONTACTME AXONS: 11/04
IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER & AZ LOCAL TIME (MST)

CORK 'N CLEAVER
33.511875 -111.986529 :: 13:16 :: 44th & Camelback

PEORIA
33.566497 -112.255090 :: 13:53 :: QuikTrip (91st & Olive)

TOLLESON
33.450407 -112.255438 :: 14:09 :: Circle K (91st & Van Buren)

AZ MILLS
33.385490 -111.965300 :: 14:34 :: AZ Mills (Theater)
33.384510 -111.964880 :: 14:38 :: AZ Mills (Elsewhere)

Also, just for kicks:
PERSONAL CALLS
  • LCpl G3K :: 11:11
  • Lt. Cmdr. Brian :: 11:29
  • Ens. Annette :: 11:35
  • Cmdr. Pegasus :: 12:44
  • 1 st Mate Bean :: 14:10

If I've neglected anyone or anything up there, let me know.

Y'all are seriously going to have to call my, er, personal "chatter" while this is all going on, and leave messages. My flight is at 14:05 so whoever's beekeeping beforehand at home or abroad (on the road? what I meant to say was actually getting these axons) should let me know what's up so I'm up on things when I get to SF.

Lastly, thank you so much, everyone, for making this the awesomest beekeeping experience ever. I'm not gonna get all awards-ceremony-y, but 1 st Mate Bean deserves the biggest props for Most Dedicated Beekeeper, stealthily grabbing ASU and AZ Mills axons before we Wise Men even had our pants on the right way. I hope everything's going all right with the family sickneess situation, and I wish you the best of luck in all post-beekeeping endeavors. Hold fast.

As for the rest of the Myriad Wise Men... well, if I paid any attention to rank, I'd let Bob do this, but whatever. You guys are awesome. I couldn't ask for better friends or co-beekeepers.

And as for the rest of the AZ 'Keepers: Stay awesome ^__^
