Wasn't there a thread specially created for bitching about pravado's opinions about half a year ago? You're like pack of wolves. You're nothing better with those "Then stop watching!" replies after every paravado's post and "Oohh, you're a narcissistic individual, no one should be that self-centered, listen to what I say instead, those are too erudite for you, but not for ME, I'm sorry for you, that's life, dude -Tycho" things.

Yes, I know that I just followed that pattern, but goddammit, you won't stop by yourself! Can we have only first-level bitching on the forum, without bitching about bitching (if it's really what pravado's posts should be called), please!

Seriously though, I disagree with most of Pravado's statements regarding the show, but the dude's got as much of a right to express his opinion as everyone else. I think most of the problem here is the result of boredom. Only thing I actively dislike about the gaps between entires, we start to eat our own.

I don't think I've ever agreed with Pravado before (if I have, it's been rare) but he brings up an extremely valid point in that the IG timeline could be managed more carefully by the powers that be. It's not hard to not tweet until you know you've got the entry ready to go. I mean, how many times have we been bitten in the ass by an entry delayed by an OOG reason and be force-fed some bogus excuse like "Oh, sorry, I had to change hotels" or "Woke up in my car, wtf happened!??!!111" before Trosephim begin to learn.

That isn't a complaint about the length of the gap, so much as just smart management of the in-game continuum.

It's also not hard to keep the rage in the rage thread, but i've been seeing it spill out into other threads lately. Needs to be kept here where it belongs, and I'm glad you guys have moved it here for now.

Please, go find where I was ragey, angsty, or instagatory in any fashion. Twistedpuppet wanted to make a mountain out of a mole hill, and I wouldn't say pravado, myself, or anyone else that shared our opinion game him anything to go on. He was feeding his own flame in that other thread.

I always love when people say that. "Then stop watching." Like it's such a simple solution to the person's complaining. OH YEAH BRO. JUST STOP WATCHING IT REAL QUICK. IT SOLVES ALL PROBLEMS. Probably one of the worst pieces of advice I've ever fucking seen. Does anyone think for one second that people complaining would take that advice? At that point it just becomes an absentminded thing to say. It's the equivalent of saying "nothing much really" when someone asks you what you're doing.

To be honest, I actually look forward to seeing what pravado has to say. It's always mildly funny and interesting.

 		So, I have a noob question that totally doesn't belong in this thread (but I'm also not sure where else to put it). I (now) get what you guys mean when you guys mean when you say IG or OOG, but I'm also a little confused. I see MH as a show. Why does half the forum call it a game? Indeed, as it appears, the purpose of the Unfiction forums is "alternate reality gaming". Is it because we're guessing at a mystery? Is that the game? Or is it just some archaic term from back when this forum was actually about games?

I'm so confused...

Marble Hornets is here because when it first started, people thought it was going to a full alternate reality game with more viewer involvement in the plot. While MH turned out to be more of just a web series, it does have certain ARG elements like viewer-character interaction on twitter and solving the puzzles in TTA videos. "IG" and "OOG" are just terminology that has stuck since we're still on an ARG site. Some of the other Slender Man series have more ARG elements, like Everyman HYBRID.

The creators could release something on par with 2 girls 1 cup, and there's a healthy contingent here who would praise it, rabidly attack anyone asking wtf, and saying how it was 'worth the wait'.
