[Trailhead]Find the Starlight

Received a tip about the following link:

http://findthestarlight.com

Looks like the Prologue just finished and Chapter 1 is commencing, so you should be able to get a decent sense of what the game/puzzle/mystery/story is about.

I'm sufficiently curious to at least lurk this. Haven't got enough of a grip on it to do more than that, for now.

FYI, box #A010 is located in this direct vicinity, just outside Barstow...

Californians - get it on it, eh? Wink

ETA: Never mind... apparently it has been retrieved (it just wasn't officially announced from what I can find)

Seems right now the primary thing is this Kickstarter (which seems to be centered around one of the boxes)

It sounds like this kickstarter is being used to finance the first of many chapters. I'll admit, so far I'm liking how this is being done. Also there's a new update on the kickstarter page showing a card with the words "the owl follows".

According to the constantly-updated list of found/received Alchemy sets #A013 is "BURIED" with a link to the kickstarter page. After watching the video a box is indeed being buried at the end. I think the current challenge is to watch the typewriter strike keys in the video and figure out which characters are being typed. My current theory is this will reveal the location of #A013.

Also
Quote:
A012 - LAST SEEN ON TABLE IN THE BEAT COFFEE SHOP IN OLD LAS VEGAS
and I think it's still out there.

ETA Here's the .MP4 of theKickstater video for anyone that wants to get screengrabs of the strike keys.

Even though things are being solved/found there doesn't seem to be any "official announcement", but they're gradually added by the game followers to Starlight Branch Group.

The video keystroke solve is indeed a hint at the location of the buried item. This was solved by another player and posted on the Starlight Branch Group...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The keystrokes reveal the message: "Begin with the book all the magic I have known I've made myself a gift from the man with one name". Part of the message is from a poem by Shel Silverstein from the book "Where The Sidewalk Ends". By adding /wherethesidewalkends to the findthestarlight.com url you find a picture near the location of the buried item. Since it says to begin with the book, I'm wondering if there is more we need/can add to the url for yet another hidden page.

This was a hint to add /theowl to the findthestarlight.com url which takes you to a video showing more about the location of the buried item.

It's been a LONG time since I've been involved in an ARG. This one has captured my attention. I feel the rabbithole pulling me in again. What a nice feeling!

Just a minor correction (I also transcribed it, the night before ohoe posted the very cool typewriter image of the transcription Smile)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Begin with the book
All the magic I have known
I've had to make myself
Gift from the man with one name

Separated into segments, and there's no "a" (verified that specifically, thinking the same thing). Though I can't remember which are "I've" and "I have" (gotta re-watch the video now Razz ) Quoted above is the wording per the poem, however.

Not much else new yet though, except theorizing on tumblr and there's the latest message which seems to imply we're waiting, for a bit at least...

I would also check http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/findthestarlight periodically if you're going to keep up with it, as a lot of people there are posting about their findings.
