There's a sticky here in axon coordination.

We in Boise have a total of 26 calls in a span of 3 hours!

Weephun, how about me, you, and Mad Cow head down to the Kopper Kitchen and activate all of those, then head over to Pizza Hut. Since the last Pizza Hut axon is 5 minutes before one at the Double Tree, we thought maybe you should leave early and go to the Double Tree alone at first, then after Cow and I finish the ones at Pizza Hut, we'll go down to the Double Tree to help you out...sound good?

Whoa whoa whoa. You think we're going to have to activate them?

I just figured you could be at any one of them and just wait by the phone, taking every call. How do we know what we're going to have to do?

COORDINATION REQUEST:

Buzzkill and I have a quick request.

If you will be answering a phone on Sunday please pm this account with your:

1. cell number
2. coordinates for each phone you will be answering
3. time you will be answering

We believe these three items will assist us in coordinating pretty much anything Melissa throws at us. If we have your number and when you'll be answering a certain phone it makes it much, much easier to contact exactly who we need to. So please, if you'll be answering a phone, and have a cell, pm that info to us.

*NOTE: We will not under any cercumstances give out your number to ANY ONE. The only people that will have access to them will be Buzzkill and Angelo. Thanks

Major Comm Officer angelo

I can handle all the ones at Union Station in Dallas, but the ones going to the Visitor Center down the street will be out of luck, as it's closed on Sundays. I'm gonna try to wrangle the wife into hitting the Target at 12:35 PST. And I've got one coming to my cell again at 12:05. Of course, I'm hoping that they're only looking for 1 Axon per wav to make this work, seeing as how it looks like it's our last day and all.

I'll be heading to Union station to share the calls with you, Gilada. There are several times when you have two at once.

since Union Station and Downtown Dallas seem to be covered pretty well, I could go for the Irving axons (32.841333 -96.994716). Never been to these ones before, but according to Mapquest, its in/around the Irving Mall. has this one been hit before, and any axon'ers planning to go for it?
I could stay for the whole 12:10 to 12:30 block at that phone, if I can find it.

edit: and, unless my brain fails, 12:10 pacific = 2:10 central?

But we have to be ready for anything. There are 3 possibilities for what could end up happening Sunday. Either..

A. We have to activate the axons to piece together wavs, and run from phone to phone as always.

B. No activation, participation optional. We just have to stay at one phone and answer it all day to forward the plot.

C. It's the same thing, every time, all day, just to make sure everyone has a chance to listen in.

With almost 100 axons in three hours (most of which we simply won't even try to get), the DC crew is probably going to try to pick up some early ones and then focus on the massive groups at Union Station.

One little complication: the Marine Corps Marathon will cut off streets all around the area of many of the axons Sunday. And unlike prior years the END of the course is over the side of town generally where we have most of our axons. This will severely limit the ability to get to extra axons outside Union Station - closed streets, crowded subway.

I'm thinking all the calls to the same phones will be live while the individual calls will be a recording.

I'm also thinking we need more than one or two "Operators " considering what we had to do to last week. We may need several people to man the website.

Looks like 19 in San Antonio. If I remember correctly, there are about 5 at the Broadway axon, 5 more at the Quarry, and the rest are scattered around throughout the city.

Anyone else think it's odd that we only need to get 4 out of 40 calls to unlock each clip. To me this suggests that it's going to be harder to successfully complete calls this time around. Perhaps Mel's question will be different for each block of calls or some such thing.

I disagree. I think that they just want us to finish, now that we've got Melissa whole again.
