HHM is in both the play and goodbye wavs on the new 404. We are so famous.

Any chance you guys can get Rob to go to Buena Park? There's not enough time to get to the Block from there or I'd try and get it.

Hello all,

I'll be at Disneyland this weekend, so I'll try to hit the anaheim axon while I'm there (though I understand that the audio is a bit crummy).

Besides the anaheim location, could anyone point me to the next-closest axon? Orange? Irvine? Buena Park? Please forgive my ignorance of the area. Hopefully I'll be able to say "hi" to a few coastal beekeepers.

Btw, awesome page, Robynn. Thanks!

The next closest is the Block (Orange). If you meet me there, you can follow me to UCI as well, if you like.

Directions from Promenade to the Block:

- turn right onto Katella out of the Promenade (go west). Pass the Pond, go under the freeway...
- turn left onto State College (go south). Pass Angel's stadium, go under a different freeway...
- Start looking for a mall on your right hand side after you pass State College and Chapman. Find the Virgin store. Around the corner from it (heading south, turn right) is a mall entrance that puts you right in front of Starbucks. The phone is on the left, right past Starbucks as you head back towards Virgin.

Good luck!

I'm afraid I'll be at UCI exclusively... Once I get back down here from Thousand Oaks that is... Razz

Do we all want to hook up and have lunch when our calls are done?

Are we all going to end up at UCI eventually? There are places to eat around there... But I think, if we're going to take a group photo, we should do it at the Promenade... If I have time tonight when I'm done with stuff, I'll make a big ol' sign that says, "BROKEN DAMNIT!" Or something... Very Happy

... OR, we can go to Po Folks by Movieland... Since that's where all this crazy coordination stuff started. Smile

Here's a map of campus that I've marked up with important locations.

Here's a link to the actual pdf of the map where you can actually read things.
http://today.uci.edu/pdf/UCI_04_Map.pdf

This page is very usefull in finding UCI. It includes a link to the map above, a PHONE NUMBER TO CALL FOR RECORDED DRIVING DIRECTIONS, printable freeway directions, and a page for people not from CA with tips for finding campus.

Do NOT park at the University Center strip mall and walk over the bridge... This is Irvine, they ARE watching you and they WILL tow your car.

Parking lot 16 is $1 for an hour, $2 for 2 hours, and $5 for all day. There is a yellow vending machene as you enter where you buy your temp parking pass. Buy it first, then park.

I've taken to parking at SSPS 58/79 (Across the street from University Center.) It's more expensive but much more convienent to the axons. (You can pay $7 for all day, or there also "short term" spaces... (The block of spaces to your far right as you enter the structure, against the wall. Enter your space number in the yellow vending machene and then insert your money. It takes $1's, $5's, and I think $10's as well as the usually coins... IT WILL NOT give change. So have lots of ones with you)

I'm not sure if there will be a parking attendent at SSPS on Sunday... Probably not... So, since none of you will have a student "weekend" pass, I suggest parking in lot 16 or going for the more expensive "short term" spaces in SSPS.

Also, it costs fifty cents to answer a call on the UCI payphones... I should have lots of quarters with me... But if you're comming, remember to bring some change just in case.

Quote:

11:50 PST - UCI Bus Stop, UCI Bus Stop, Wax Museum
13:30 PST - UCI #210, UCI #303

I'm really going to need help at 13:30 as I can not be in two places at once.

11:50 conserns me... I'm guessing that one of those two Bus Stop calls will actually go to one of the other phones... It's too bad I don't have three other people to cover all UCI spots at that time...

My plan is to be at the Block and then move to UCI and be there in time to help you with that 13:30 phone. Afterwards, I have no preference as to where we end up. =)

Tony, the Wax Museum is where we really need someone, can you do that one?

I could go to Po Folks, but the others are very hard for me to get to without a car, I have to use public transit.

I guess I could hit the Wax Museum and miss my personal call that way I will have gotten all to of the calls, at that location, except for the first one .

unfortunately I wont be able to make any of the locations because of the loads of work i have to get done. Rob probably wont be able to make it either due to car troubles.

Also, Nobodyman will be in the area, so if there's any locations in that area that arent covered let him know.

I sent an email about the two calls listed as going to the same (Bus Stop) axon at 11:50 yesterday.

It looks like either they got my message or they noticed the problem themselves. It looks like they've updated the page. Only one call is going out to an Irvine Axon at 11:50. Smile

See y'all!

Sunday Axon Coverage
---------------------------

Here's what I've gleaned from people posting and from random assumptions:

HHM - UCI
Robynn - Block, then UCI
fubarz - Wax Museum
Tony - ?
jsailor - RSM (I hope)
nobodyman - Promenade

chulo/Rob - out

The last call is at 2:10pm. I think the minor consensus was that we meet at Pofolks (right next to the Wax Museum). Good luck, everyone!
