I was going to snark that you know you've made it when people write you into smutty smutty fanfiction, but then I had to go and Google, and now I'm just terribly sad.

Now I'm going to have nightmares about what's on the tape.

Hmm. If Hoodie did know that Jay and Tim were following him, and wanted them to find the tap, why would he bother concealing the tape beneath that debris? And if he didn't know they were there, but wanted them to find it all the same, the chances that they'd stumble upon it are extremely slim. I think maybe there's something on this tape that Hoodie didn't necessarily want Jay and Tim to see, and that he was leaving it to be collected by an associate? On the other hand, if he knew they were there, covering the tape would contribute to an act of unawareness I guess. Not acknowledging their presence avoids unnecessary confrontations. Maybe I'm over-thinking this part.

How...? They lost sight of him in the woods. That's not exactly plain sight. Anyone would have been able to conceal themselves in there, especially with the distance there was between Tim and Hoody.

Just asking:

The room where Hoody leaves the tape it is the same where he wrote "Follow ME", isn't it?

If it is the case, I think he did it intentionally and the tape is actually directed to Jay and not to someone else like some people are guessing Smile

I figured Hoody teleported like we've seen other characters do in the past, although he could just be very slippery.

The question I see asked a lot is "Was this entry worth the wait?". Problem is this is kind of a bullshit question for several reasons. First of all, we know the story is already written out. This entry was always going to convey the information that it did, regardless of the time it took to film it. Does that mean the creators should add more to it in order to compensate for the time it took to film in order to do right by their fans? Of course not. It'd be cool if they did (assuming they actually didn't), but it's not something that's required in order for the entry to have been "worth the wait". They never committed to a solid schedule for providing these entries, and they always do us the courtesey of telling us why filming was delayed at any given time.

They give us this show for free, and they have real life obligations, so there's a reasonable expectation that sometimes entries will be delayed for various reasons. As for the content of the entry itself, unless you're new to the series, you know that the only thing we know for sure will be in each entry is an event of some kind that Jay deems significant. The importance of said event has never been static, and it constantly varies.

Tim's confession to Jay, while containing little information we didn't already know, marked an important turning point in their relationship as partners in this investigation. Tim devulged his deepest, darkest secrets in the interest of full disclosure between the two, and admitted his potential responsibility for the things that went wrong. Furthermore, we learned that Tim's past experience with the Operator is purely hypothetical, which contradicts what some of us may have suspected given what we had learned previously. Of course, Jay also got the tape, which is likely going to point the story into the next direction.

So was this entry worth the wait? Without it, we'd still be on entry 65, so yes, it was. It didn't contradict what we've come to expect from previous entries (simply that events that Jay deems noteworthy occur), it contained important moments in terms of character developement (Tim's confession) and advancement of the plot (finding the tape), and it provided us with the link to entry 67 (also the tape).

I have to agree with you, Geneaux.

While it certainly wasn't one of the most groundbreaking entries by any stretch, it did show us some character- and plot developement.

I have a theory:

It's called INCEPTION trolling.

People bait the trolls because they know that the troll who has been baited will annoy everyone on the forum, while the baiter sits and laughs at everyone's frustrated grunts at the troll.

Not entirely true. We don't pay to watch the show per se, but every time any of us watches an entry they make money off the ads. And of course there's the DVD and t-shirt sales. They ARE making money off this gig.

What I said is true. I didn't say they don't make money, I said they give us the show for free. They require us to pay nothing to watch the show on their youtube channel. We are not required to buy DVDs and t-shirts in order to view said channel, those are separate transactions with separate expectations, i.e. that we're entitled to what we paid for. In the case of new entries, we're entitled to nothing. What we have are reasonable expectations in terms of content therein determining whether or not it is a quality entry, and in the case of entry 66, those reasonable expectations have been met.

I think that to answer the question "Was this entry worth the wait?" we need to see what's on that tape. Hopefully it'll follow in the next couple of days.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Although for out of game reasons it might not arrive soon. This entry had a lot of choreography that probably took a few takes to get right, so probably took a long time to make. If they released it as soon as they had it ready then they have to start making the tape entry now. Otherwise if they made both and waited until both were ready then that would explain some of the long wait. If this entry did indeed take multiple takes of the complicated chase parts then I'm grateful to the guys for making the effort. I'd have probably cut corners with those scenes if it was me directing!

If the tape contains Jay being evil then maybe Hoody's "He is a liar" refers to Jay and not to Tim. That would be interesting.

My biggest problem with the entry was just how slow the chase was. It lost all tension when Jay slid around the corner and Hoody was 30 ft ahead of them and Tim is practically walking backwards. I honestly, sighed with frustration because there was no way they were going to catch him without him stopping... and he did but then they just hide.

If I was Tim or Jay, I would have shouted "Yo asshole" some where during that. And if they did the tension would have ramped back up.

Up until Hoody showed up I was very immersed with the proceedings.

The only way to fix this is if Hoody posts a video of Tim and Jay following him captured from a cam he wore on his belt. Just so Jay and Tim would realize how stupid they look. /joke Still though that would be funny as hell to watch.

Being new to the site / scene I hope this post isn't out of line. I really wish more of you would use spoilers for all the OOG comments like how "great" Tim's acting is. Really? I love the series but I don't think any of them are good actors. For me its more about atmosphere… and awesome editing (I love the way TO "moves.") The atmosphere is only improved by us coming on sites like this and conversing IN GAME.
Also whats with all the "its been 2 months" posts? Really we don't count TTA vids? or tweets? Or Puzzles that we spend countless hours trying to figure out? Trosephim is working hard to give us great content in different forms and I love that about MH.
I'm not sure I belong here. I was really excited about joining UF but some of you guys…
Patience, its not about how long you wait, its about WHAT you wait for.

Yes, I'll actually come out of hiding again to point this out. Remember back in season 2/1 when you'd get punted to the oog thread if you didn't use spoiler posts for oog game stuff? That's one of the main reasons I stopped hanging out here. I just pop in after me and my roomates are done discussing the episode to see if we missed anything.

Said perfectly. Like always.
