This is a really promising series. A new spin on the story with the grandfather being a researcher.

But this vlog just makes a few faults with the mythos at large clear to me. Certain tropes are becoming really cliche and played out. Do we have to have some sort of proxy to guide the protagonists? Do they have to post crytic coded videos for the audience/protagonist to figure out? Do we have to have video and audio distortion up the ass whenever Slender Man is around? I don't know about the rest of you, but they're becoming very tired tropes for me. I realize why people use and rely on them, but it's been done to death. Find other workarounds. Invent new signature bits. The old ones are as tedious and tired as operator symbols. I you're starting a new series, make it a new series. Do new things, and not just with the same old pieces.

I'm fine with Operator symbols, being that is the Slenderman's signature logo, but I'm pretty sure this will diverge into something new. That's what all the good vlogs did and I am curious what might come out for this one.
